Both believe in a ficticious monotheistic god.
Islam is loosely based on Christianity and Judaism, so they have many of the same characters, including Noah, Moses, and Jesus.
Both are superstitions.
Both have killed people of other religions and variants of their own religion over differences in interpretation.

I'm not a Muslim. I've read books about Islam, comparisons between Islam, Judaism and Christianity and Jesus according to the Islamic faith.
I think I remember reading that Islam does say that Jesus will have a special purpose or place at the end of time.
If any Muslims on here will Answer or Comment with information, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you.
P.S. To the Asker: If I'm right, that is one more similarity. Along with the fact that both call Jesus the "Word of God", and I think they both call Jesus a few more things similarly.

Comparing Codes of Belief Between
Islam & Christianity
Islam
Allah (God Almighty) is the only Creator of all that exits.
There is one God (Allah). Jesus is the Christ, miracle birth- and Muhammad (p) is his last prophet, both of them said, "God is One and you have to serve Him with all your heart, mind and strength.
Allah reveals His 99 Divine Attributes and does not compare Himself to any of His creation.
Allah created man from dirt and "in His image" and of "His spirit," yet God has no likeness of anything in creation.
Adam & Eve sinned, then repented and were forgiven, with no continuing effects on their children.
God Forgives Adam and Eve after they repent. Then He makes Adam his deputy (caliph) and the first prophet.
Man is basically good but prone to mistakes. Muslims who repent and submit to God are forgiven without intercession from Christ (or anyone) needed.
Through submission to the Will of God in peace, anyone, anytime, any place becomes a servant of Allah and draw closer to Him.
Allah is not like His creation. He is neither male nor female, nor is creation like Him.
Christianity
God Almighty is the only Creator of all that exits. (Gen. 1:1)
There is one God. He exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (There is no "Trinity" in the Bible)
God has revealed Himself as "One God" and "One Lord" (Dueteronomy 6:3; Mark 12:29)
God created man from dirt and the image of God (Genesis 1)
Adam and Eve sinned and thus brought sin into the world and their sins passed on to their children. (Genesis 3:1-7)
Original Sin - all of Adam's posterity are born with a sin nature and are sinful from birth (Romans 3:22-23, 1st John 1:10)
Man is by nature sinful and has need for redemption by the atonement of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:6, 8:32, Colossians 1:19-20, Hebrews 7:26-27, 9:26, 10:12, 1st John 4:10)
Through the work of Christ, God adopts Christians into His family and calls them His children (Romans 8:14-15, Ephesians 1:5, Galatians 4:5)
Bible says; "God is not a man... not the son of man.." (Numbers 19:23) Other places contradicts this(?)

Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac.
Both were blessed since God promised Abraham that his seed would be blessed (before the birth of any child) and God does not break his promises and no nation can be blessed without Gods’ command.
1-----After Abraham had lived ten years in the land of Canaan, Abram's wife Sarai took Hagar the Egyptian, her maid, and gave her to her husband Abram as HIS WIFE. -- GENESIS 16:3
2------So Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram called the name of HIS SON, whom Hagar bore, ISHMAEL. - GENESIS 16:15
Islamic belief is that both sons would be blessed and blessings would come through the both of them unto the world. In Islam there is no superiority or inferiority issues when describing the blessed sons of Abraham.
Isaac is mentioned with great honor and love in the Quran. Great Prophets came from the lineage of Isaac and David and none brought such a complete code of life and a complete law like Moses.
Amongst the Israelites (Jews) the great Statesman and Law Giver was Moses.
From amongst the Ishmaelites (Muslims) the great Statesman and Law Giver was Mohammed.
Mohammed, just like Moses, was a Statesman ,Military commander, bringer of a detailed Law for religious, social, financial, political affairs and both had families.
Both Mohammed and Moses claimed to be NO MORE than a Prophet and Messenger of the Almighty.
The Quran is full of the stories of Moses as a guidance for Mohammed on how he should handle similar situations.
Moses was the means for the Israelites to become a great nation chosen to protect and deliver the commandments from God as a blessing unto mankind.
Mohammed was the means for the Ishmaelites to become a great nation chosen to protect and deliver the commandments from God as a blessing unto mankind.
Through the seed of Abraham God has completed his favor unto all of mankind until the day of Judgement.
Mohammed was the last and final Ishmaelite/Abrahamic Prophet and Jesus was the last and final Israelite Prophet.
The Quran calls Jesus “the Messiah” which means “anointed one” or “the one who was sent as a redeemer for the Israelites (Jews)”.
May God bless all the Jews, Muslims and Christians with proper understanding and may all of mankind benefit from the Universal Divine message and Universal Divine Law which is now eternally protected ( in the original tongue/language it was revealed) in the teachings of Islam.

I don't think there are any similarities, other than acknowledging that Jesus was a real historical person.
