Better than a bag of sweets.
My health visitor has told me to make sure its not all they eat but they are fruit in their own right.
I limit my daughter to a handful a day and they are great if she is hungry an hour or so before dinner and she is starting to get grumpy...
And if the diet is vared then you are doing great job.
All my love and best wishes
Kim

Fresh is always best, I'm sure you already know that.
My first two kids didn't like fresh veggies or fruits, but they were crazy about raisins (and figs, if they were in a Newton).
Just make sure that dried fruit is always eaten sitting down. It takes more chewing than fresh fruit, and can be more of a choking hazard.
Aside from that, as long as you watch out for added sugar (sucrose instead of fructose), the only difference between fresh fruit and dried is the water content.

It's great that she's into fruit. Be careful with dried fruit though. Like you said, they usually contain more sugar and the sugar they contain in the first place is plentiful. Six dried apricots doesn't seem like too much but when you consider it is the same as three whole ones it seems excessive. It can give them the sh*ts and is a lot of sugar. It's great she likes it but restrict it and try to get her into more fresh fruit.

my 2 year old also really likes her dried fruit , things like raisins , apple rings , banana chips etc the only thing i would say is with regards to Apricots be careful of the yellow ones as they add sulphur to them to get them that colour if you can go to Holland and Barrett and buy the unsulphured ones , also with Holland and Barrett you can ask for advice about the nutrional content and what each ones is good for

I believe dried fruit is very nutritional, if it isn't loaded with sugar. But I would be very careful in giving it to a toddler, because of the choking hazard.
Years ago, I gave some raisins to my toddler. He enjoyed them so much, he stuck one of them up his nose. Despite our efforts to remove it, we had to visit a doctor who took it out in his office.
You are fortunate in having a little girl who enjoys fruits and veggies. It's great to see a mother who is watching over her child's nutritional needs.

They are very good for your daughter. Not many kids will eat dried fruits, especially raisins.Fresh is best, but dried are healthy too.Watch the sugar contents on them though.
