Buffalo milk mozzarella is absolutely the best of all mozzarellas. It tastes like heaven! It's a soft cheese, usually in a ball like shape although you can also find it in a braid.
Mozzarella is good for eating of course - with some sliced tomatoes and some fresh basil and olive oil and you've a complete lunch.

Two basic types of mozzarella exist made from either Buffalo or cow's milk.
Cow's milk one is the American style pizza or breaded cheese stick one. A medium hard cheese higher in fat than its couterpart and goes all stringy when hot. Great on pizza and other baked dishes. You can eat it raw but usually fairly bland that way.
Buffalo mozzarella usually comes in balls and is stored in a mild whey (liquid). Fantastic in salads (Insalata Caprice is the classic), on its own as antipasti or on a neoploitan pizza. Can't take the prolonged high heat of much cooking, as it could melt away to whey, so more often eaten cold or stuffed inside things (chicken breasts) where it is somewhat protected.

Mozzarella is good for
pizza - including homemade french bread pizza;
lasagna - meat or vegetarian,
Stromboli, grinders,
any "parmesan" [also spelled "parmesan" or "parmasian"] dish - including veal parmesan and eggplant parmesan.
It’s a mild-flavored, low-moisture cheese, made from whole and skim milk. Its Delicious!
I'm sure if you went on-line and did a search, you would find many other uses - AND recipes - for mozzarella cheese as well as any other cheese or food you're interested in and learning more about.
I wish you well!

It is a mild creamy cheese that melts evenly. It is good for pizza, lasagna, manicotti, tomato and mozzarella salad, it makes a killer grilled cheese, if you put some sliced tomatoes and red onion on the bread with the cheese, and it also is good for making fried cheese sticks, which you dip in marinara sauce.

mozzarella is a great cheese for melting. It doesn't get clumpy. That's why it's used on Pizza. It is a mild flavor - slightly salty, slightly nutty.

Mozzarella is that white, stringy cheese that you find on pizza's. I also use it in spaghetti, taco's, lasagna's and any type of pasta dishes. It has a mild flavor.
