By being a good person, being happy and living your life the way they would want you to. If you wanted to get them something - shout them a holiday so they can have some Mum and Dad time!!! They are so lucky that you appreciate them so much ... they must have done a wonderful job!!!

When it comes to thanking your parents, where do you begin? There are countless things to thank them for, most especially their love. You can try this out. A weekend away or night out. A thank you video Put together a video using family photographs, starting with baby photos and including important things that your parents did for you such as family vacations, college, your home. At the end write a message saying "Thank you." A Heartfelt Thank You Note Sometimes the simplest gift is the best one. You're at an important juncture in your life, and now is a great time to say thanks to your parents for getting you this far. If your parents are like mine, they'll love this one, and will be happy that you saved your money for something important.

nice one, Well some people buy them both a gift and then spend alittle time with them, or maybe just tell them how you really feel which both will be very happy about you and your words, that will mean alot.. i told my father nothing as he lives his own life, my mother i told her, i cant find words to say how great of a mother she is,, told her she did everything right being a mother and all, and i couldnt ask for any higher then her, she just did everything and over that with us when we was young, today she worries about us all,, and trys to help, which she dont have too.. but your nice for thinking like this,, good for you... your a good person..

Give them maximum time from ur bzy day, listen to them (to whatever they say...either about past or future plans or anything else) with full attention...talk to them when there is no one else to do so...dont make them feel lonely...take care of their necessities...& buy something they like to have on special occasions...do work for them...& much more u can do to let them know how SPECIAL they are in all ways!!!...if we all do a part of above, then every day will be a Mother's day & everyday will be a Father's day!
Thanks,
Sumiya.

i agree with "spiritual1"
it may sound so basic, and maybe not enough
but there is nothing that will have greater impact on them than words from the heart
dont worry if you are not poetic or a great literature writer, the key here is FROM THE HEART,
they will treasure this more than any meal/gift or surprise, and for a long long time
good luck

Depends on what you are capable of doing for them. A thank you with a hug and kiss, help with the yard work or housework, a card, a gift, a vacation or cruise, etc...

I think one of the greatest gifts of all is a letter. I think you should write them both a letter. A letter is something they can hang on to and reread over and over again and furthermore, they will always treasure it. Put your heart and soul into it and write about favorite memories and what they've taught you.

Write it down in a card. Maybe add a picture of you and/or several pictures of you during years. They will have it forever to have a look to. Inner Light.
