I have this scar on my leg
from a nail (hammer and nail
not fingers), it is healed, just
now it is pink and shiny. Is there anything I can do to at least IMPROVE its appearance?

Mederma. Made a big difference in a surgical scar on my wrist.
Just a word of advice for future reference: saying you're "hung up" on something is just a saying. You don't have to really do it. ;o)

Scar Zone, or oil of olay definity. Won't take the scar away but fades it out so it is less noticable

It'll fade in a few years but never go. I've got one from 15years ago and its still there.

there is an over-the-counter drug called cetaphil, you rub it on the scar and it can heal in around 2 weeks.

Put concealer on it.
