Most definitely, I guess on that aspect I usually confront the person because I don't like it, and would never do that to someone.

Yes! That is so rude! I had a guy, I am not going to call him a gentleman, talk to another person, with me right there. He was asking her questions about me. I looked at him and said, if you want to know, just look me in the eye and ask the question. I am sitting 3 feet from you.

You don't want to start a fight, but you could stop the whole thing in one quick sentence...

"Hey, I know that you talk about people behind their back, but if you talk about them to their face, how do you know they won't "pop" you one in the head?

It sounds a bit unrefined, but a street savvy person said it once and it stayed in my mind. YOu shouldn't have a reoccurrence if you look them in the eye, then walk away. NO arguments, just walk away.

Ignorance of any manners. Its rude.. . . or intentional, which is worse.

When my husband's mother does this (constantly) 'what does she mean, did she buy you that shirt' etc., etc., drives me up the wall and around the corner.

Next time I WILL say 'SHE is right here, sitting in this room, what do you want to know'.

Tired of this rubbish.

Yes, it does! The only people that do this are my mother and father. The rest are just fake backstabbers like my father in law that talks crap about me behind my back.
