Why is it that when haters on here state that all muslim women are oppressed and denied education, and we prove we don't feel that way, that they insist it is so? If we don't feel that we are while having college degrees in various fields of study, why do you want to push and force us into believing we are? We don't feel that way, so what's it to you? Why do you have such a problem knowing that we don't feel that way? I don't deny that in some places some do, but most of us do not feel this way.

I know I know sis. I agree too! Well we KNOW that we are NOT oppressed. It seems that they want us to 'be oppressed'. They think that we are having a bad life inside our veils, they think that we don't study, we don't laugh in short we don't do anything like other women! Its WRONG I love being in my hijab. I go shopping. I have a collection of hijabs. I don't feel oppressed or depressed I love those beautiful hijabs I have :). I go out with my friends we eat from outside we share things we have fun we laugh.
I feel free because people look at me with respect, I am given value in the society. Nobody looks at me they way they look at others :) So I am relieved I don't have to bother about it at all. I am educated not locked in my house. My family and friends ask for my suggestion. In short I have a healthy way of living
Not all Muslim women are oppressed. some are and it is not only in Muslim families it is their in every religion isn't it? Still People say that we are oppressed.

Muslims are people some are good some are bad , if they really believe they are going to force themselves to be good , but ISLAM is a whole other deal and he is innocent from all actions of bad Muslims , also alot of media people and normal people attack Islam for the actions of Muslims and this is what we can't take , so please every body try to be very specific in what you talk about

Huh... Do you really disagree that muslim women in the middle east are not?
I can offer you MANY examples of how they are. I realize that women are not oppressed in western countries but I would tend to think it is because we have laws to protect them. But there is an overwhelming amount of evidence that they are not only oppressed by mistreated and tortured in many middle eastern countires. To deny this is a flat out refusal to look at the facts.
You give me a thumbs down so let us look at just a few examples.
Libya- A woman was raped by two men. However, she was not wearing appropriate attrie for muslim women therefore muslim courts determined SHE was at fault and she was stoned to death. AP
Afghanistan/Pakistan border- Another woman was raped by a man. HE was caught. his punishment for his crime? HIS WIFE was gang raped by the raped womans husband and the tribal council. Rueters.
I could go on all night, but you sitting comfortably in your westernized version of islam think the entire world press is simply out to get islam.
I have nothing against your religion. I know the quaran does not support this treatment of women however IT DOES HAPPEN and they use YOUR religion to support it.

we can try and make them see our point of view but they would never understand or chgoose not to understand that we are not oppressed

oh dont think about it too much .. most of them are indoctrinated by the tv that every muslim woman is in chains and a sex slave and every muslim man has a few bomb jackets in his wardrobe ...
