A cam shaft is only part of the power enprovement more RPM this means more fuel so you need a larger carb. + larger exhaust to remove the exhaust , hotter spark to burn the fuel.Best to research an decide how fast you want to go & h0w much you can spent . But just doing the cam shaft? There are other thing you can do to to get more power for less work & money.

Pros like Summit Racing can advise you on which cam is best for your application and use. The know the questions to ask to get you what you want. Lift, duration, and center line do matter a lot. There are other things to consider like you valve train, valve spring tension, head specs, or does your carb have enough flow for the cam you are considering. Try looking here: http://www.summitracing.com/
or give them a call at 800-230-3030.
Please, if you are trying to do this yourself, learn how to properly install your cam. You can destroy your heads and valve train easily if you don't know what you are doing.

Call the individual cam manufacturers, but be able to know what axle ratio you have and tire diameter and or RPM at 60 MPH. Be able to include any and ALL current or intended modifications.
Be warned,,there are increasing after market cam failures as Zinc, the main anti wear agent is removed from motor oil. Consider to switch to Dello Desiel oil after the change..
