We are all heading in the same direction. Why does it matter what path we take to get there? Also, why does one think that because one's religion is different than another they are somehow the right religion and the other is against you and your beliefs? Can't we all just get along. In multi-religious harmony?

What I meant by direction is finding peace and harmony and connection with the divine. Not the place you go after death. That has nothing to do with what I meant.

The answer to that would be that each religion would say that we are not all heading in the same direction. Each religion teaches different things. Judaism teaches that you have to work to become a better person and perfect your relationship with god, man and self. Christianity believes that the amongst the main beliefs that you must have to be "saved" is that jesus was the messiah and a god. Don't know too much about other religions (still working on that). You can tell a religion by how the average person who actually tries to follow the religion turns out.

While you rephrased your question to assume all are seeking peace and harmony, your original question stated "Why does what religion we are matter? We are all heading in the same direction" Other people have more on their mind. I seek peace, harmony truth, love and eternity with God. Because you omitted the last three in your search, , you seem to exclude any answer which points in that direction.

As your choice of name and symbol indicate, ,you have a preference to the Wiccan or satanic religion. How does casting a spell on anyone create real harmony? How does "Do what thou wilt" show love or appreciation of the will of God?

It doesn't. Your eternity is on the line here. Your desire to have a relationship with the divine will have a sad result if you follow that path.

After all, ,its about God. He loves you, but so far you have disdained his love because He didn't show love the way you wanted Him to show love. Ya think maybe God might have a better way to show love than you? Did you really think the loving God wouldn't communicate it to us? He made men write the Bible for a reason: so we could all come to know him through his words at a pace each individual could handle on their own.

That is why faith in Jesus, not in religion, matters.

There is only one way to get to heaven. It is not religion. It is only Jesus Christ who can assure your path.

"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one will come to the Father but through Me." Jesus was very specific about that. He never cared what religion a person was because "all fall short."

No religion will get you to heaven... no matter what you do. Only belief in the Savior, God's only begotten son. Even the thief on the cross next to Jesus had faith and believed then went to Paradise with Christ. He had no religion at all, other than christianity.

The important thing, once you've understood that Jesus died to save us from the ultimate death, once you've accepted him and became a follower, is to read your Bible, talk to God a lot, and do your best to do as God and Christ said to do. A good church is hard to find, but is helpful to guide you in your walk and for fellowship with those who are walking your way.

Again, the religion doesn't matter much. Religion, itself, is mostly man's interpretation of the scriptures. That is why they are all so different and why so many think they are the only way. But Christ is the only way. So, find the church where you can learn the best, then do what the Bible says.

Hello and the thing we must be in harmony with is "it is written" in Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them. Also Jesus Christ Himself said this in John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Also eveything God has satan has his fake, his lie to so God's chruch has a church that is a lie to, one that does not meet His standards and those are spelled out in The Ten Commandments [not suggestions] and it does matter to be in church cause in Acts 2 the last verse Jesus added daily to THE CHURCH as such as should be saved. The real church is one that keeps ALL of the commandments and teaches them without making excuses, this includes the fourth commandment on the Seventh Day Sabbath which is Saturday not the first day Sunday as this day has never been called holy and cause God is the only one that can make a day holy you do not keep it holy either, want more info. free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org God bless.

You would think that is possible, but when some people chose delusion over simple fact, you get issues. I believe that all paths lead to the center. If a religion has to be pushed on others then there must be something wrong with it though. In America we say we have religious freedom. I doubt that means we can go to the church or synagogue we want to though. There is more to this than is being revealed.

Some religions seem to be more effective in helping people with life on this earth than others. For example, Seventh-day
Adventists live significantly longer than any other religious group in the Western World.

Because a few use religion to justify atrocity on people like you and I.
They are in charge now but cry that they are oppressed. All harmless helpful religion is good and nurturing. Controlling aggressive authoritarian religion that feels the need to be part of government must be eradicated.

I must rage against that darkness.

The direction we're all headed is to the grave.
God's given us an out: eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus didn't come to condemn us. He came to set us free.
"Religions" are mans attempts to reach or please God. Christianity is Gods attempt to reach man.
Jesus was very clear; teaching that religion which is acceptable in Gods sight is taking care of widows and the fatherless. But more is required of us than just being a good person.
Religion can't save your soul. Only Jesus can do that.

Unfortunately most religions are fear based and for the men who basically "wrote the book" it was easier to say that the other ones were evil and bad to get people to join their club.
Christianity for example persecuted the Jews, Muslims, and pagans. They got quite a following. We still persecute each other today.
I also wish that even if we know our neighbor practices a different faith then us, instead of either avoiding him or just bashing his beliefs just talk to him.

We can't be afraid of each other. We are NOT that different!

Ask questions, make yourself wise to his beliefs and you might find yourself stronger in your beliefs.

It only matters to people who can't accept it when you are not a follower of the same belief as they are. For me I could say it doesn't matter but then I suppose I would never date a religious person.
