Um, hey why don't you go look at the history of Iraq for a bit. Sunni and Shiite have hated each other forever. Sunnis just kept the Shiite majority down under Saddam's rule. Its not a matter of Divide and Conquer, its a matter of My tribe is better than your tribe and we want control of the country. I think every American should read up on this subject because it is a great military lesson.
