I know that it is part of America, and they mainly speak English, but do you know if there are any certian parts where there are a lot of people who speak French?

I have visited up there, and I heard a few people speaking it in more of the northern parts. It is not a main language from what I heard, but I do think about 40% of the people know it.

There aren't a lot of people period in Vermont...but yes there are some places up by the Quebec border where some people are originally French-speaking and also some people who are native English-speakers but have learned French. (Especially if they deal with tourists from Quebec--in Stowe for example)

There may be a small semi-French population, but english is prevalent there.
