Leviticus 19:19-31
"Do not mate different kinds of animals.
"Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed.
"Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material.
"Do not eat any meat with the blood still in it.
"Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.
"Do not put tattoo marks on yourselves.
"Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them.
"Marge, have you ever actually sat down and read this thing? Technically, we're not even allowed to go to the bathroom."

those are laws "found" by some priests and scribes when they felt that the people in jerusalem were having too much fun so suddenly they "discovered" a scroll that was supposedly dictated to moses by god and had a whole set of hammurabian laws.
since. thank god, this is not a theocracy, these laws are all optional at the moment and you can choose which ones you like and fit your moral system and which are not.
now early christianity wanted to get lots of fans and followers by saying that you can get all the benefits, but dont have to work hard and fulfil a whole set of laws. you're exempt. not bad, huh?

Uh, Mr. Priest, the good book does tell you how to keep your personal waste from turning into an epidemic, and half of that other stuff is scientifically known to be healthy advice. Which is more distateful to you, reading about prevention, or trying to figure out a cure on your own?

And that is one of many reasons I have only skimmed through the book of Leviticus and not actually read it. I tried and the book is uber boring. Kudos to you for actually reading it. And I would say I'm sinning right now except that the dress I'm wearing is knitted and not woven so it doesn't matter how many different materials are in it. (loophole)

The Bible is the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. I am not sure if those commandments apply to us, but I know by learning and hearing latter-day revelation, and I know by the scriptures(bible, book of mormon, etc.) that some of these things do apply to us. Mating different kinds of animals... isn't that an unworthwhile and unrewarding thing anyways? I think I heard once that two different animals can't have babies....something along those lines, I dunno. Now, it is definite that God does not like us defiling and ruining our bodies with tattoos or piercings, but I am quite sure that girls piercing their ears in the normal way is alright with Him. The last one is the word of God also. You must be one track minded; your energy, love, and attention on God, Jesus, and the Gospel. You must live the Gospel and preach it. Do His will in all you do and say. Mediums, spiritists, sorcerers, etc, are not of God, but are of the adversary(satan), I am sure. I KNOW they are not of God, and will only distract us from Him, and send us on wide and various paths to Hell and the spirit prison. As for the rest of it... obey if you can, I suppose, and seek out the Restored Gospel Of Jesus Christ. Seek out His church. www.mormon.org

These Laws were made by men, not by any God..
No Christians God didn't "channel" these Laws either...
Jesus & Buddha were created by beings from the 10th dimension and they are not Gods....
Very soon it will all be apparent to all, even the most stubborn devout religious among you...
We are evolving and moving into the 5th dimension, deny it all you like, but it's here now and you will be part of The Shift whether you like it or not...

Way to take old testament laws and write them out...too bad that a lot of people still do this to try and disprove Christianity or show how horrible God or Christians are...but just so you know, since you appear to be a Bible scholar of sorts, that these are the laws that were followed in the O.T. by the Jewish people...not that they are irrelevant today, but Jesus gave new laws in the New Testament.

We have ALL fallen short of the glory of GOD, which is why the only way we can get to heaven is through Jesus, not by works. Simply put if we were held to The Law we would be very screwed!

I believe that kosher Jews still follow all of these laws to the letter. Of course, most of us Americans follow most of them anyway.
I've done #s 3, and 4 - none of the rest.
