Hotel Deals in NYC?

I will go to NYC this summer and i have already booked everything (even got my shopping lists done :)) but there's one question i have:

I'll be staying at Hotel Belleclaire located on the 250 W 77th St.

Is it well located?

Is it a good hotel?

Well located. The Upper West Side is where the rich and famous live. And it's a close enough walk to Central Park.

I've stayed there twice while on staff for a conference for college students, in 2002 and 2003. I found it to be clean and generally in very good working order. Didn't deal with the hotel staff much except for the front desk, and found them to be professional. The location puts you on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, which is an affluent neighborhood. There are several restaurants and bars nearby that are open late (my personal favorite is Big Nick's). Even though you're 2 blocks away from the subway, you do trade price for a bit of a longer ride to tourist spots in Midtown and Lower Manhattan. Still, I had no complaints and will recommend it if you're traveling on a budget.

not sure about the hotel- but the locations is great. its at 77th and broadway :) jsut dont venture over to amsterdam or columbus ave- parts can be a little sketchy.
