changed their temple ceremony?
I know it's been at least 4 times, and I'm pretty sure it was more than that. Anyone know a total?

Actually, no, I'm not mormon.
I recently freed myself from their stupidity.

It matters because mormons claim that gods word is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Yet the temple ceremony has been evolving over time to fit the beliefs of the day.

God's word is the same. That has never changed in the temple. The way the sessions have run have changed over time to be more convenient and to allow for more people to be in a session.

As for how many times things have been changed, I'm not sure. I do know that little things have changed over time, but the message is the same, the promises are the same and the covenants that are made are the same as they have always been.

Continued revelation means just that- God can change something if He feels it needs to be changed. That's what continued means. It doesn't make the religion wrong, or false, for changing a few things here and there to make it more understandable, or more stream-lined. All churches change things over time, but the main doctrines, and the main religious applications stay in tact.

You must be a Mormon if you're asking about Temple ceremonies. As for changes, I'm not sure.

So...had you ever actually been to the temple? Just curious.

And right, why does it matter? Things in the ceremonies have changed but not doctrine. No doctrine has ever changed, that would be the "same today, tomorrow and forever" part.

We also believe in continuing revelation. It's similar to how the calling and duties of the 70's were changed. What's the point of having revelation if things aren't going to change?

Hmmm...you obviously have not freed yourself from the "stupidity" since you insist upon asking stupid Mormon questions.

Nothing we say will make a difference to you. You seem to already have your mind made up about this issue.
