I am a faithful Christian as well, but there is something on my mind that bothers me. What happens to the people who have never heard about God, do they really go to hell. I know the gospel has reached almost every part of the earth, but there are still some people who haven't heard about it. Isn't it unfair for those who haven't even had the chance to get saved?

I know the passage that says the rapture will happen once everyone hears the gospel, but what about the ones that die before ever getting the chance to hear it. You know for a fact there are some cases like that. I did like the person who said that God will be merciful in this situation.

Those who have not heard the gospel will be judged according to the law whether they will go to hell. See Rom 2:12-16 For as many as have sinned without the law will also perished without the law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; for when the Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things contained in the law, these although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) in the day when God judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

There's a passage in the Bible that actually says that the day of the coming of the Lord will not happen until every ear has heard about the Lord...so there you go. If you want the specific passage I can get it for you.

To 'Howl' who answered first I'd just like to say that if you are a Christian you should know that being just a good person will not get you saved, you need to believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and that He is your Lord and Saviour, and only then will you be saved. (So, unfortunately (Based on the Bible) that doesn't mean all religions)

God is a just God in all of His ways and it is never considered to be an unfair God. No one will stand before Him with an excuse that they at one time or another did not know about Him.

For those whos lives may have been cut short before they could be reached it is left in Gods hands and we are not to worry. He still sits on the Throne and is Fair.

Don't doubt God for each decision He makes is a perfect one.

Think about Jesus' dying on the cross. Picture the grief and the agony for a couple of minutes... Now, do you think He's gonna let Anybody be lost through carelessness on his own part?

The apostle Paul says that through the wonders of nature many folk can figure out that there's a God of love. Furthermore, I've heard of many mission stories where through angel messages or visions people came to know God. Trust Him!

A good question. But merciful God (the ultimate in "fair") will find a way to show mercy to everyone's circumstances. If the church is doing its job, there will be very few of these people who never hear - if any at all! DO YOUR OWN PART!

i am also a faithful christian and that is an easy question. When the the earth ends and the judgment day comes the people who did not know him shall have their chance when satan is locked up for one thousand years and during that time they will get the chance to believe. But i wonder what happens if they mistake satan for jesus in the end of times and worship him... i know the mentally sick will get their chance.

It would be hard to beleive in todays society that there are not any people out there who have not heard of some type of higher power rather it be god, budah or any other power. I would think though that if there were such a person who really never heard of him, then he would take them in and give them a chance because god would know what there heart knows and doesn't know.

As hard as it is to hear, yes, anyone who doesn't believe in God and His Son will go to hell. But it's not without reason! Romans 1:20 says, "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood FROM WHAT HAS BEEN MADE, so that men are without excuse." (NIV - emphasis mine) Through the glory and intricacy of Creation, as well as our soul's inmost longing for God, it can be clearly seen that God exists.
But that is why we, as Christians, are called to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth, so that those who DO trust in God will be able to deepen their relationship with Him and learn more about Him, and those that DON'T believe in God will be able to see as clear as it can be that He is real.
God bless you!

The bible does not specify if they will be saved or not. Some teach that they will be given the opportunity to believe after death, others that they will go to hell. I trust that, whatever God does, it will be "fair". Remember, *none* of us are deserving of life, so if God were to destroy us all now, without redemption, it would be "fair". Lucky for us, he promised us a path toward redemption. That is not fair. That is the amazing gift of God.

What about people who want to believe in God, but can't find the evidence? People whose prayers never get answered and who pray for faith but don't receive it? People who never experience "miracles"? That would be unfair as well.
