I have had this slight feeling these past few weeks that I should do children's ministry as a career. So maybe be a stay at home mommy and just work childrens ministry part time, or find work doing childrens ministry full time. i gotta pray. how do i even get started to be a leader in childrens ministry (and i dont just mean teach sunday school)? So as of now I think God may want me to do ministry. maybe thats why my shoulder appears to be getting worse, maybe its a sign from God, that He does not want me to be an emt.

FYI I injured my shoulder about 4 and a half years ago. And yes even though it hurts on and off, it does not hurt enough to slow me down, mainly just an annoyance. Originally I wanted to be an EMT (but didn't pray over it), but I think now my shoulder is gradually getting worse (aka once I get med. ins. I will see about physical therapy, unless 24hour fitness can help). But I am thinking the increase with the shoulder is possibly a good indicater that God hasn't called me to be an EMT. And I love children (I used to teach daycare, and I want to get back into it eventually). But lately I have had a slight tugging on my heart for children's ministry. And about the stay at home mother thing, I am not married so therefore no children yet, but if it is God's calling I would love to be a stay at home mother when the time comes. May God bless you all.

Praise God that He is leading you into such a worthy and holy calling. The Kingdom of heaven is made of ones such as these, and the Lord has entrusted you with the care of the most important ones, arguably.

If you feel a calling towards Children's Ministry, simply ask the Holy Spirit to lead you into it, step by step. God works with us in increments, to fit us to the eventual calling we will live out. He doesn't just give us some huge, large scale idea and say "now figure out how to do it." If He wants you to enter into that ministry, He will slowly open doors for you, and in that process you yourself will also be going through a healing work in your own life, preparing you for your calling.

So the best thing to do is to just trust God that if He is calling you, He is responsible for making it clear where you should go, what exactly you should do, etc. Abide in Him every day and ask Him for a Word to confirm the sense you have about it. Once you get the Word, ask Him what concrete steps He wants you to take TODAY. Don't worry about tomorrow. In other words, in all your Ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Eventually your path will lead towards your calling, whether it be Children's Ministry or otherwise. God Bless!

Could be a sign from God or a torn or injured rotary cuff. Better get it checked out. Being a stay at home mom is the greatest occupation in the world. If you have a calling for children's ministry, God will show you.

One thing is for sure I don't think God would leave a pain in your shoulder, just my opinion.I would definitly pray about this, also research and gain knowledge about childrens ministry.I do believe God will give you direction and understanding when you pray. The reason your question caught my eye is because I have been praying about the same exact situation.I think He wants us to be happy in whatever we choose.Just think to your self "Is this from God"?I think it is because it's not negative in any way.I think those feelings are there for a reason about the childrens ministry

you have children at home. maybe God's telling you they're your ministry. help on sundays in sunday school.

just read that you have no kids. i would say take the steps. God will open or close the doors. He'll lead you if your eyes are on Him for guidance. you could meet with your pastor and get some counsel on the matter. i'm sure God will use Him. good luck.

If you teach children about religion, please don't frighten them with the torments of hell.
Teach them the positive aspects like love, forgiveness, doing unto others, etc.
