if you make your hair really oily will it make it grow?

i straightend my hair and put hair moisturizer in it everyday for 8 days now and i havnt washed it.,..i know it sounds nasty but i hav showered jus havnt washed my hair cause i want to see if its reeelyy oily all the time if it will grow faster...is it true?

I think that because of the oil build-up at the roots, they may not be so healthy. The secret to growing hair is a clean, healthy scalp, a healthy diet, water, vitamin E and regular exercise. wash your hair every other day and start drinking vitamin E pills regularly. The healthier your ends the healthier the roots so get a trim every 4-6 weeks. try to keep it away from heat. Irons and blow dryers can cause the hair to dry up and imp and you don't want that. Keep putting your moisturizer. remember that healthy hair grows about an inch per month.

Alas, no, it will not -in fact, unless you have a specific illness that affects hair growth, nothing will make it grow faster than 1/2" a month. However, not washing your hair is good for it.

The chlorine in water does damage your hair, and if you aren't using a professional shampoo that straightens your hair, the shampoo will damage it, as well. The moisturizer is not necessary while you aren't shampooing. Just be sure to brush your hair about 5 minutes a day to remove the lint and dandruff it collects, and distribute the natural oils to the end of your hair shaft. I never heard about making it really oily, however I think that if you live in a hot/warm area, your hair will grow faster.

i dont think it works, because it will just make your hair smelly,icky,dry and stuff. but i suggest to put hair moisturizer an hour before taking a bath everyday and comb your hair a lot!!!especially before going to sleep comb your hair a lot!!!
