It is not that easy to understand the Karma theory. We have to try by constant practise and through listening to elders.

You have raised that how lord Krishnas statement is true. We are not competent to doubt or question his statements. Several scholars have accepted his statement. We should have the humility of accepting of our failure to understand the issues.

King Santanu was ruling and Devavrat was declared as successor. Only when Satyavati came into picture the whole situation changed. Devavrat gave up his right and Satyavatis sons died prematurely. The whole responsibility of finding a suitable successor rested on her. She could not retire till the things got stabilised. The fruits of their actions were coming on their own. They were not on anticipated lines at least.

Finally it lead to the destruction of the entire family. What control they had on these results? Given a choice no one wanted such fruits. Then what it indicates? They had right on their karmas and they did what they felt alright. But the fruits are totally different and they did not have any control on them.

Lord krishna said, the fruits of your labour should not be the motivating factor for your work. No one has gone insane for starting some work without expectations of a reward. How nice it would have been, if lord Krishna would have said, if you do not get results try hard once again, but do not get disappointed. Why create ambuiguity, and Krishna is not coming forward for clarifying this now.Work with a goal. Work hard and make fruits of your labour, positively the motivating factor of your work. Ignore Karma theory and be happy with your own effort.

Lord Krishn wants us to be working hard always. And what ever fruit will be developed because of our hard work, he will eat it. If we will not work hard, how Krishn will eat fruit?

Too toh bas karma kiye jaa bete, phal toh mai hee khaunga.

Lagee raho munna bhai.
