Crimes are defined by law. Wrongs are defined by collective opinion. Sins are defined by religion as being unsavory to one deity or another. We are against crime, against wrongs, but do not believe there are any sins. Anyone else think this way?

To those who are preaching their beliefs, rather than answering my question: My belief = my particular religion. Yes I have a religion I follow. No, there are no sins attached. And no, your god is not involved in any way, shape or form. I am a fully, legally recognized, ordained minister. I was also at one time an ordained baptist minister.

Sin is a neat invention
Morality has been taught to you and you feel guilt - it is the big hindge pin of religion
It teaches shame - which is important if you want to rule over people and not be questioned It teaches one to be subject to authority - which is also important if your going to use a population for your own purposes
Sin exists in the heads and hearts of men becuase religion has placed it there and it has served both governments and churches well to have it there

Yes, Sin is a collective opinion, these opinions may clash within the Individual, Family, Community, Country or various Political Governments.
A "Sin" is merely a "Wrong" seen from a certain perspective, so if I chose to Say, Think or Do something that You "Did Not" favor, it would be fair for You to say that I have "Sinned Against You".
Keeping in mind that "Our Opinion" of Something or Someone change from time to time, so that which we may describe as a "Sin" today, we may in fact call a blessing tomorrow.
There is No Good or Bad per say, only that decription which we deem appropriate for a certain thing.

The doctrine of sinful nature of human beings is a bunch of bull. We are born sinners becasue 2 dudes ate a fruit ,and now we are supposed to pay for such a thing? How stupid is to believe that non sense?
Yes , I agree with you, we should be against crime, wrong doing, not a ridiculous MAN MADE concept of sin. So dumb!

Sins are the things that show our many flaws as humans. For instance, you can't say an animal sins because it does something you think is a sin. Animals don't believe in that sort of junk. But if YOU believe that there are no sins, you'll have to find something else to explain humanities flaws and let me know.

I do not believe in sin because I do not believe that God (if he exists) has ever revealed what he thinks is wrong. The bible is easily disproved and obviously written by man, so whatever is commonly referred to as a sin is just what was considered culturally unacceptable by the prophets who penned the bible.

Sins are wrongs that are now covered by laws, amongst other things. You might say you're against wrongs, as are most people, but it's just another way of saying you're against sin. Pretty much anything that goes against your conscience is a sin.

Sin is a way of social control. It defines what one should not do with the punishment of torture in the afterlife.

The Bible says, "There is nothing new under the sun." You have NEVER had an original thought! Keep trying.
I cannot believe your arrogance! Not only do you have the audacity to dismiss Christ, but you have the double audacity to believe that you did it in a unique way.
