my parents and everybody always feel that reading the quran and praying are the only way to heaven and i feel it is true but then again i wonder if the almighty has given a fair chance to all people. i mean does this mean that a poor person from bangladesh who can not feed themselves has the same chance as a rich king from saudi arabia to go to heaven. he should have a better chance because his life here on earth is hell and he is sad all his life but the arab king is always happy and has everything he needs so why is it that he should get to hevean and be happy there too. should allah give the poor man something for his life's hardship.say if the poor man does not pray and goes to hell is that fair because he had a sad life on earth and will have one in the hereafter. but the king will have a good life on earth even if he is bad and goes to hell. that does not equal up.

".Having suffered a life of a poor man,he is now 'neutral',ie neither good or bad.Learn to read Quran sensibly and not word for word.ALL THE HEAVENS AND HELLS ARE RIGHT HERE ON THIS EARTH AND OUR ACTIONS SHALL TAKE US WHERE WE BELONG TO GO"

Hell and heaven are unfair. Just think about it, According to religions (Christianity/Islam) - if I spend 99% of my life as an intolerant, bigot, murderous atheist, then I become a theist(truly in my heart) before I die, then I go to heaven(do i really deserve it?), however a man who spend his life 99% as a noble, kind-hearted, faithful theist then dies as an atheist will burn in hell for eternity. As humans we can only do a finite amount of sin, but hell is an infinite amount of punishment. Why call him god, if this is how he call punishment? Same goes to heaven.

Allah is The God, and no one is equal to Allah.
Allah Almighty will judge people according to their abilities and resources they get in the life on earth.
For example person X has 1000 dollars, so God Almighty will see how much money he spend in the way of Allah, did he or she spend for poor or not, did he or she spent for other good reason. If He or she spend 10 dollars for good cause, he or she will be rewarded for 10 % money spent.
Another person Y has only 10 dollars and person Y spent 5 dollars for good cause so God Almighty will reward person "Y" more then person "X", because Person "Y" did more then Person "x" realizing their resources.
Hajj is only obligated who has resources not to all.
Salat can perform poor and rich equally. My observation is poor prays more then rich.
I think brother or sister you should study Religion more and give some time to religion sincerely.
May Allah bless you and your family, May Allah blesses all of us, Amen.

Tell me as to why God makes people poor to begin with?if it was for their past sins, then why should God consider to send him to heaven.Having suffered a life of a poor man,he is now 'neutral',ie neither good or bad.Learn to read Quran sensibly and not word for word.ALL THE HEAVENS AND HELLS ARE RIGHT HERE ON THIS EARTH AND OUR ACTIONS SHALL TAKE US WHERE WE BELONG TO GO.

well, this is a great questions, and i'm sure there will be MANY ignorant answers. Just thumb them down.
What the quran is getting to is that those who live a good life, wether rich or poor, will be rewarded in death. now, how many rich people do you know who are good people? i wouldnt be too concerned about the fairness.
it's one of Allah's tests in the end. He gave us our situations, he delt us our hands. If you stay loyal, you will be rewarded.
P.S.
I'm not muslim, but i am a religious studies student.
Good luck!

Be sure God tests us all in different ways. No person, whether rich or poor, is exempted from these tests. It is stated in the Qur'anic verses of Surah Mulk 67:2 ---- "He Who created Death and Life that He may try which of you is best in deed". This life is a test and God tests all people with good and bad. Allah gives them also from his bounties as a test as to whether they follow the right path or follow the wrong path. The rich man may be tested thus --- Does he give charity, does he use his power and money to establish justice in the land, whether he is a spendthrift and squanders his money on frivolous things, does he remain humble in his attitude towards God, does he abstain from sin and perversion ; So too the poor man is tested --- is he patient in his trial, does he still believe in God inspite of his misery, is he harbouring doubts about God's justice just because he is suffering, does he perform his duties to God with full faith that God will restore him to a better state one day ------- These are the kinds of tests we are all put to in our daily lives. While the poor are tested with poverty and distress, the rich are also tested with the excessive wealth as it is easy to be carried away towards evil things when you become affluent. How each individual performs in his tests determines whether he goes to hell or heaven. Hope that answers your question.

[Quran 36:22-36:27
"And why should I not worship Him (Allah Alone) Who has created me and to Whom you shall be returned. "Shall I take besides Him aliha (gods), if the Most Beneficent (Allah) intends me any harm, their intercession will be of no use for me whatsoever, nor can they save me? "Then verily, I should be in plain error. "Verily! I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me!" It was said (to him when the disbelievers killed him): "Enter Paradise." He said: "Would that my people knew! "That my Lord (Allah) has forgiven me, and made me of the honoured ones!"]

No, In Islam Allah(swt) is testing us all the same but in different ways. I had a hadith and I forget which it is,(I just woke) but, it explains how we are all tested be it rich or poor. Everyone is tested differently.
