i don't say it that often, people don't look at me as a "weak *** guy" More of the opposite, more traditional man... She likes saying im hot or sexy.
Maybe beautiful as a word is to traditional i don't know lol
thanks for all the replies. Will take some into consideration.

Maybe your girlfriend can believe that she has sexy eyes, or beautiful hair, or whatever the particular body feature is....but perhaps inside she has a low self image and finds it hard to believe that you find her beautiful as a whole because she don't think so herself.

She probably doesn't think she is beautiful. She may know she has sexy eyes or fantastic lips, etc., but she is alsolooking at herself as a whole person and denies her beauty. Try a different expression when telling her that you love her for her. Like every time you meet her, say: "Hi good looking!"

Maybe she really doesn't think she is, or maybe she thinks you don't mean it.
My boy friend tells me I'm beautiful, I dont' get mad, I say thank you and then kid him about not being able to see well with out his glasses. I don't really see it my self, but I would agree if he said I had nice eyes or beautiful hair as I know they are my two best features. That I can see, but beautiful, I don't know about that, he must see something I don't and it is always kind of awkward to reply to.

I think that maybe the word beautiful is a little strong maybe? Like to me, it would sound like a.little too much. But when you say something like, "You look so pretty because of ____" it makes more sense cuz your giving specifics. If you just tell her she's beautiful it might not sound as realitc, I guess, as when you compliment something in specific, Get it? It's kinda hard to explain, lol.

To be honest, i'm bamboozled myself, lol. I love being called that and many of us do. Maybe she doesn't think you're sincere about it.
When you say it to her, makes sure you use a complete sentence and look straight in to her eyes and say it seriously. Maybe thats how she needs to hear it. If she keeps rejecting that, try asking her why she reacts the way she does. We get enough of doubts at one point in our lives, you might as well ask then.
It could be that she doesn't like it because she doesn't believe shes beautiful herself. Maybe she is not conformed with her looks.
Whatever, trying or not, soon enough you will have to ask, lol.

Tell her in different ways. The next time you have that thought, get creative with how you express it. Try a slow smile, an appreciative glance, a different set of words, or nickname...

she's stupid for not realizing how lucky she is. There are some girls who never get compliments from their boyfriend no matter how nice they look.
You sound like a nice guy, if she gets mad over stuff like that maybe you should find a more appreciative girl

maybe she's the opposite from the rest of us and prefers to be called hot and sexy more than beautiful.

well she might just be touchy when it comes to flattery. but i dont really understand why she'd like the big compliments on her body but not anything else. thats a little strange. but my advice, just compliment her on things you know you can. if youre the testing type, then test her; i think its right to find the boundaries in relationships. that way, you dont "mess up".

Its because women are crazy sometimes. Stop calling her that if it bothers her. She seems to not like blanket statements ... tell her what makes her attractive to you. it will add up to beautiful without using the words that bother her.
