What stops countries like North Korea or any other country that hates us from droping a nuclear bomb on the USA? I mean if they have nuclear weapons and planes and hate us as bad as they say they do? why cant/dont they? why cant they take a plane and drop a bomb on New York City what stops them from doing this?

Well in the issue of N Korea is that they just want to use it as a blackmail device to get goods from the US, not use it against the US. The other country's know that if they drop a bomb on us we would retaliate in a greater number and with more powerful nuclear weapons. They know that if they start something they may not exist to see it to it's end. Or any of use for that matter.

They just don`t do it, because they know that if they are doing it, they will get blasted even before their nuke reach the US... So what`s the point to do something that has 90% chance of not working, when you know that you have 100% of getting more damage than what you have first intended!
