If it fills you up than great, just remember that the amout of calories in like soda matches junk food. so if your not looking for the calories stick with water, but like the soda will get the job done. haha

It really depends on the situation. Sometimes the feeling of thirst is misinterpreted by the brain as hunger. Drinking of liquid first before eating may be a good idea, if you are trying to loose weight. If you are really hungry, you can clam the acid in your stomach by drinking liquid. But this is only temporary as hunger will soon be back. Water can help Calm down the acid in the stomach while soda may in a sense increase, as some soda contain sugar and other chemical.

Will you get full? Only for a short amount of time. In about 30 minutes to an hour, you'll be hungry again. Plus, water has no nutritional value because it is pure. Try a protein shake! Or, try a protein or granola bar with your water. You need something that will stick with you for a while or at least until the end of school.

Try drinking Ice tea, the tannin in the tea will shrink your stomach and diminish the feeling of hunger.
