I really wanna earn money for a Wii or a DS. I want to start a dog walking service but I don't know if I can do that yet. If I can, would $5 for 20 minutes be pricey or good enough?

I've had experience walking my own dog, a German Shepherd/Great Dane mix and walking my friends dog, a Golden Retriever. I'm planning to walk either a Beagle, a Miniature Schnauzer or a Lab.

There is nothing that says you can't do that. It is just like babysitting. You may want to charge for distance, not time. $5 is a little cheap, you should ask around to see how much people would pay for that, I can tell you, people always offer more than you ask for. Good luck!

By the way, get the Wii, it is much more fun than the DS, it just doesn't have as many games right now.

I don't think there is anything really illegal about it.. (tax wise it's a bit iffy).. but you want to do a bit of research on laws in your area.. I know here there are laws against kids under certain ages walking certain breeds, or dogs over a certain size.. I doubt you'd have an issue with a beagle or a schnauzer.. (although schnauzers are stronger than they look..),, walking your own dog isn't quite the same as walking others.. mostly because the other dogs may or may not be trained well enough.. they may listen to their owners, but ignore you.. It's most likely worth a shot however..

You cannot "legally" start a service at your age. You could offer to walk your neighbors' dogs for them. Start with one dog; stay off the streets for safety; be sure dogs have all their shots. Then, when you are confident with one dog, you can add another. Your neighbors may be willing to give you a good recommendation. How much experince have you had with walking dogs?
Before you quote a price, ask your neighbor how much they are willing to pay. Negotiate with them if it's only a dollar or two. Your price is alright, but walk for a minimum of 30 minutes; especially if dog is very active. Also, how fast will you walk, and how far?

$5 for twenty minutes seems a pretty good price. And im pretty sure its legal to start a dog walking service. Its just like a babysitting service right so put up posters around your neighborhood to start. It depends on where you live and you don't have to tell me but i might let you walk my dog. =)
