The lady on tech support said there shouldn't be any signal issue with a 99 to 101 signal strength, the problem is in the hardware.

Sounds like the problem my daughter is having, they told her she needs another reciever. There is a glitch with a certain type box. She had an appointment and they never showed. Hope you have better luck.

sorry bob im a dish network installation tech and dish does not use 1 LNB per Receiver it used one LNB per orbital location. meaning one LNB per satellite and depending where you are in the country and your programming it could be up to 4 if you have one Receiver that works fine and one that doesn't the problem is either a loose connection or a connector got pulled out so the dielectric isn't flush on the connector anymore this usually happens when a tv or entertainment center is moved id start by checking the sat feed connections behind the Receiver if they are more than hand tight you will need a 7/16 box wrench to loosen them also the Receiver must be in the room it was initially installed in otherwise you could have it plugged into a dead line but if the Receiver is in the original location id start checking connections at the Receiver and work my way back thru the system i sincerely hope this helps also if you wanna get fee's waived you want to talk to the "loyalty" department sorry bob but lnb system with dish and direct are basically the same each lnb looks at its own orbital locations and mixes the even and odd transponders and sends that information to each and all recievers also for some added useless information orbital locations can have upto 32 transponders depending on the satellite but typical programmind comes from only 4-6 of these transponders which vary by region and the way a dish is "tuned" with dish network and direct tv is exactly the same and i know this because ive done both SBCA stands for Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association and covers dish network and direct tv satellite installation

i had the same problem. I lost all my connection. I dont know if its AT&T out there but this is what they told me to do

Hold the power button for 10secs and then release. The light(s) should blink for a sec. What this will do is reset your box but not your settings. It might take a min to work but it sounds like your system didnt update right.

Mine updates at 3am everyday. Hope this helps
