Maybe if you helped her cook or clean up she might cook more often. Help out with making dinner would probably encourage her.

Here are some things you can do so she will make dinner more than once a week.
1) Offer to help her make dinner.
2) Offer to set the table.
3) Offer to clean your room.
4) Vacuum.
5) Start the wash.
6) Ask what you can do to help (and mean it).
7) Clean up the mess and wash the dishes.
The reason she isn't cooking more than once is week is that she is really tired. Help her out a little and that will go a long way to getting more home-cooked meals. Good luck and try it.

Like the other people said, you should try to help her with the shopping, preparation, and cleaning aspects of the meal. Also, give her a lot of complements about her cooking, which might encourage her to cook more. You could also show her your appreciation by cooking some meals by yourself, which would let her know how much you care.

Ask her if you can help get dinner ready.
Say that you like a cooked dinner better.
You could peel potatoes, or cut up veggies.
Maybe she needs the meat thawed out.
You'd be learning to cook while helping.
Some of the best meals are the cheapest.
But usually they take longer & more work.

yea, you can tell her how much her cooking is where other families always it fast foods. If she has chores that need to be done-this might clear up more time so she can cook. What I eat sometimes is a toasted cinnamon raison bagel with sausage and cheese with home fries.
Home fries: cook a big potato (#80) how many potatoes there are in a 50 lb.box. Microwave for 11 minutes (prick few holes thru skin. Cool and then pan fry till golden brown

Get in the kitchen and help her!

Veggie beef soup:

Brown 1 lb beef. Drain, return to pot. add 1 diced onion, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 big bag frozen mixed veggies, and 1 big can of Vegetable Juice. Simmer 1-2 hours or until veggies are tender.

I like to use some bell pepper and beef bouillion cubes to kick it up a little, but its fine without it. Salt and pepper helps too.

Try asking her to teach you how to cook and ask her to share secret recipes. Giving her recipes may not work as some cook by instinct and talent. Stay with her while cooking and ask for tips.

you should offer to cook for everyone at least once a week. if you're old enough to be on here this late than you're old enough to cook dinner. Maybe you can get her to show you how to cook if you can't already.
