ive been with my bf Shane for almost 2 years and our relationship isnt the best, we constantly fight and he always makes me upset and he's jus a real hipocrite. im finding it hard lately to admit to myself that i love him still. the other problem is one of his closer friends Steve has been really friendly to me over the past few months, heaps more than he used to be and its actually really noticeable to everyone, ive had quite a few people mention it to me. The first thing which really got me is he now comes up and gives me a big hug and kiss everytime he sees me out which he never use to do before when he was with his gf.. and another thing is one night we were out and a bit drunk and he was saying how pretty i was and that i reminded him of his old g/f- not in front of my bf of course but lastly when me and my bf fight his friends take my side and tell me i dont have to put up with this crap from him...so basically my problem is im starting to have feelings for Steve, what shuld i do

like has been mentioned already..im scared to lose both of them...if i lose shane and end up with steve that wouldnt be as bad but if steve then turned his back on me too i would be really upset..another thing is they arent that great friends anyway..steve has no patience for shane cuz the way he acts...

hey, this happened to me in my last relationship. i was with my boyfriend for almost 2 years, and we started hanging around some of his friends and drinking. one of his friends started telling me (not when my bf was around) that i was beautiful and fun to hang out with. i really started to like the guy, as he seemed a much better match for me than my bf. eventually my boyfriend and i broke up and i did not continue to hang out with the other guy. i think maybe guys that hit on their friends girls are jerks for doing that in the first place!!!! or maybe u only like him because your current relationship isn't going so well, and you enjoy the attention from another guy!

Listen to yourself...you already know the answer. Tell Shane that since you haven't been getting along all that well lately, you would like to take a break, and it is OK for him to date others if he wants. Just be "friends" with Steve while you decide if you want to go back with Shane. Remember he is also Shane's friend, and you don't want to create hard feelings between them. Then, in a couple of weeks or so, you can decide about Shane. If you decide it isn't going to work out with him, tell him so. Then, you could ask Steve if he would like to do something with you. Suggest a time and a place if he doesn't. Then Shane shouldn't get mad at Steve because you were the one making all the decisions.

Maybe you should not go for your botfriends best friend.. Not such a good combo.. It will hurt the relationship between you and shane as well as Shane and steve.. I have been down that path and I lost a lot of friends and a relationship.. So it is not worth it.. Try and talk to Shane about how you feel and tell him that you want to talk to him in a mature way and not always argueing and fighting.. Good Luck!!!

if you're even having doubts yourself about shane, then it's time for a reality check. was the past 2 yrs really worth all the drama and fights and eveything? steve obviously cares about you and he wants you to be happy. everyone seems like they feel that shane's just turned out to be your knight wrapped in aluminum foil if you get my drift. i'd say sit back, reflect on what you really want. if you feel it's worth everything that you've been though and shane's worth it all...then stay wit him. if not, then break free and see where things with steve go.
