3 is the recommended number any more than that and you are putting yourself at risk because cutting the uterus to remove the baby weakens the wall in the area of the incision

Right, the recommended number of having C-sections is not more than 3 times. It is for the reason that repeat cesarean section is riskier for the mother and not any safer for the baby. Old scar in uterine tissue increases the risk of uterine rupture. The fact that during pregnancy, the uterus stretches and the old scar can cause an injury. Women who had previous C- section has 3 times the risk of placental abruption which will result to either the baby will die or will be born too early. There are many risks imposed with repeated C-sections thus more than 3 is to risky.
