Okay I already have my center pieces for my wedding ...they look like a goldfish bowl small but cute inside they have poppurri i believe ...i have a total of 80 long tables...they are combined by twos making 40 REALLY long tables...anyway the center pieces i have are fitting two at each LONG table ...so that is like one at each smaller table ...but in the middle there wont be anything, so i think it will look a bit plain...i am what you can say literally broke right now i really do not have much money to spend no more ..but its until nov so i am willing to save a lil more to add something between each centerpiece...i saw a wedding that had cakes in the middle however im already having wedding cookies...should i had anything else?? or is that more than enough? plz help i want it to look nice ...elegant as much as possible...it was a small wedding but we are up to over 500 guests now so i want them to all be happy...well maybe not all but u know...HELP?

a good idea would be to go to like safeway or something and spread petals in the middle of the tables and place 1 or 2 candles that you can purchase from a dollar store, it would elegant and not cost very much at all

I decorated the tables for my daughter's wedding and I was also on a budget. I wanted to use something that the bride could take home and use over & over again. Maybe you can do the same thing. Go to a place that sells inexpensive tableware. Where I live, there's a place called Olde Time Pottery and they sell pretty much everything very inexpensively. If you have a Garden Ridge, you can probably look there as well. My idea for you would be to find some small square crystal glasses (not the expensive crystal), but a glass that maybe has some etching on it. Get some light blue vase gems and put in the glass and put one blue hydrangea flower in the glass (or whatever your 3rd color is going to be). Buy silk hydrangeas and cut the leaves off the stems and use that for the base of the arrangement - place the leaves in the center of the table and put the glass arrangement on top of that to make it look like your glass is blooming from the leaves. Since you are already using black & white in your linens, the blue can add the other touch of color. After the wedding is over, you will have glasses to use for beverages and the vase gems you can use at home in your flower/candle arrangements.

1. Small Potted Plants: Check out your local nursery to find attractive potted plants or flowers to match your wedding colors and decor. You can find potted plants for as little as $5.00 a piece.

2. If you've got the time and the space, you can buy the seeds and grow your own plants. Place the plants in attractive ceramic or terra-cotta pots. Tie with ribbon or tulle for an attractive table centerpiece. Personalized ribbon adds a very special touch

3. Candles: Candles make a very inexpensive table centerpiece and can add romance and elegance to any reception. Try arranging several candles of varying heights. White candles are elegant and coordinate with any wedding decor, or use candles that match your wedding colors.

4. Hurricane Lamp: For a single candle use a hurricane lamp. They can be rented very inexpensively from your florist or other supply store. Here are a few tips to decorate your hurricane lamps:
Add greenery around the base
Along with your greenery, add in some silk or fresh flowers to add color
For a little more sparkle, spread some gold confetti on the table around the candle.

5. Helium Balloons: Balloons make a festive centerpiece for a more informal wedding. Talk to your florist, or better yet, a company that specializes in balloon decorations.

6. Fresh Cut Flowers: Buy fresh cut flowers from a flower wholesaler or market. You don’t have to be an expert floral designer either; for instance, six fresh cut tulips or white roses look beautiful when simply placed in a small vase. This is a very simple, elegant and inexpensive way to have a floral centerpiece.

7. Favors that Double as Centerpieces: You could also use your favors as your centerpiece. It is referred to as a "break away" centerpiece. Just arrange them nicely in the center of the table. Round, flat mirrors can be used as a base to place the favors on. The favors can be boxes of candy, votive candles, tiny potted plants, miniature bells, dried flowers, etc.

8. Floating Candles: Take miniature candles and float them in a large bowl filled with water. You can also add a few flower or rose petals in the water.

9. Candles and Mirrors: Place a clear candle holder with a candle (matching your color scheme) on top of a small round mirror. Decorate with ivy and flowers.

Get plain vases from the dollar store, with a wider bottom than the top. When the bridesmaids come in to the reception, have them put their bouquets in the vases. Group the vases however fits best on the tables.

It will look gorgeous without the extra centerpiece. Save yourself the headache and the money and do nothing. If you feel you have to do something, make it a candle. Candles will take up some space and always add a nice ambiance. Good luck, and relax!

Take cinnamon sticks (3), tie together with raffia or baby ribbon in your wedding colors, and add a drop of vanilla in the center of the bow.

Not only will it add to your November theme but will carry the smell of the potpourri further and last longer...

For my wedding, I went to a lovely store, bought the number of center pieces I needed (which were beautiful pots with flowers inside them) but they looked really modern and trendy.

I used them for the wedding, then returned all but two that I kept for our new home! I didn't get the money back, I chose a credit and bought some lovely new things for the kitchen!

Bit bad - but worked out well and now we have something to remember our day with in our house everyday!!

Oragami I know this may sound funny. But seriosuly Oragami is an ancient art form. You can use just about any kind of paper, although, there are special papers made. There are many shapes that can be made, and it can cordanate with your them. BONUS: People can take them home after the reception, and it's inexspensive.

Wedding in Novemeber....what is your theme? An almost totally FREE idea would be to gather thin sticks, branches from trees, and spray paint them red, white or whatever colors and add a touch of glitter or berries. You can make them whatever size and hold them together with clear string and add a few tea lights to make the glitter sparkle.
Best of luck to you!
