Obviously, people should have adequate birth control. They should also be tested for STDs if they have been sexually active before this relationship. The one thing people often leave out when they make the decision is their emotional state. How secure is this relationship? How will you feel if you don't see this person after you have had sex together? Is this an exclusive relationship? The "BIG" questions should be resolved before the heat of the moment clouds your decision. Be safe!

Truthfully,It is a huge decision you should not take lightly as once you make that decision and go through with it you CANNOT go back!!! When you step into the adult world when it comes to sex your whole life will change!!!
You need to talk to your partner and be sure you both know what you are getting into.... and this is what you both want.
You need to prepare and practice safe sex,use protection!!!!
Remember nothing is 100% and are you prepared if you do get pregnant?
If you are young you have plenty time to "grow up" , enjoy your youth and if at all possible and you have doubts in having sex at this time it is ok to say, I'LL wait!!!! You don't need all the worries and baggage that comes with being sexually active.
Becoming sexually active is really a decision only you can make and you will know in your heart and mind when the time is right!!!
Wait til you are in a committed relationship with marriage in your future is of course most peoples advise,we do however live in a different world now and so i would rather tell you to be smart, think sensible and of course "PROTECTION",if you have a responsible adult you can talk to and trust they may be able to guide you better since they know you personally. In whatever decision you make i hope it works out for you and good luck in your future!!!!

I would definitely decide what form of birth control to use, unless you are willing to take on the physical and financial responsibility of raising a baby who will need care 24/7 for the next 18 to 22 years, including diapers, formula, bottles, clothes, shoes, toys, books, school supplies, food, a home, a college education, and an infinite number of things you've never even thought about.

Well you should definitely make sure you like the person first. You don't want to have your first experience with someone you don't like. So many people make that mistake. Make sure that the girl is on birth control and that you both bring condoms. It's not just the guys resposiblity to bring condoms. If you both decide to have sex then you should both provide protection. If you don't use protection then make sure you are mature enough to take on the resposibility of possible pregnancy. Just remember birth control may protect you against getting pregnant, but not STD's.
