No you're not alone. There's just something about her that I can't quite put my finger on. She seems sort of snobby, like if you ran into her and all of her "girlfriends" (whom she babbles on about almost as much as her nieces/nephews) she'd be totally rude to you. I don't have a problem with her food! I'm all for making something the easy way, no problem there.

I think the major thing that bugs me is how she dresses. Okay, so go ahead and color-coordinate yourself with the "tablescape" you've created. Fine. But please dress age-appropriately? The other day she had her hair in two pigtails and a really low-cut top with this heaving bosom (fake?) spilling out over the top. That's the kind of thing Giada can get away with (she's just so darn cute!), not your mom's older sister.

I like watching Sandra Lee make recipes, but she acts like a snob unlike Paula Deen or Rachael Ray.

Did anyone watch the documentary on her life (Chefography I think it was called)? I think not!!! I didn't like her UNTIL I saw what she had overcome. No one really can tell how hard she had it by the way she is now. Her parents died when she was young and she had to take care of her siblings and that is how she started to create these recipes and little things that she would do to help them celebrate birthdays when they had no money. She even was on her own when she was 18, in her own apartment and went to college and worked hard and she eventually created her own business. Every step of the way she took care of her brothers and sisters and put them all through college. It is a very interesting story.

Paula's story is just as interesting and their stories are very similar.

I love her recipes but I can't stand the way she acts. I'm tired of hearing about her nieces and nephew also just as above. Get married and have kids for goodness sake then maybe she won't talk about the dang kids so much. I wish they would find someone else to do her show. I love the recipes just don't like her. I also think she is an alcoholic

Who is she? Are you talking about Sandra Dee?

No, I'm not particularly fond of her show. First of all, I don't think anyone really lives like her and second...she's teaching how NOT to make things from scratch. I've always felt the best food is made from scratch.
Just my opinion.

Yeah-she does seem snobby and a little too uptight. I think she hires the "guests" she has come to her parties on the show.

Not my favorite. No one I know wears a white plunging neckline blouse to make spaghetti sauce!

I do too. My mom loves her. She and her friends call her "Semi". For semi-homemade. Have you noticed that she's a bit of a lush. She is sure to have a cocktail with EVERY meal.
