i got confused over what diff people told me.

i need to know what is the best way to diet.. is it low fat? low carb? low cal? or all of the 3.

I need to lose weight, but some told me that if i eat low carbs, it wont work simply because body wont burn cal enough, so store as fats.

SO THEN.. what is the best way to lose weight? eat 1100 cal a day? or 1500 a day? or 1300cal a day?

if i eat low fat / low carb but still snack on fruits when im hungry..followed by 2-3 hours / 3/4 times a week exercise.. will i lose wight?

if you cant follow a diet every day of your life its not a good one and you are not gona be able to keep the weight off.
weight loss is calories in vs calories out.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Your best bet for a diet is a lower calorie diet. You don't want to go much under 1500 calories a day.
In saying that, you need carbs as well as fat for your body to function. The key is eating the right kinds of carbs and fats. Good carbs are those found in whole wheat and whole grain products like oatmeal, in fruits and veggies, nuts and beans.
Good fats are those from nuts, olive oil, avacados, and those that come from fish.
Snacking on fruits and veggies is a good way to snack too-also whole grain crackers with cheese or peanut butter is a great snack since it provides you with protein, which keeps you satisfied longer!
Hope this helps!!

Okay..ur kinda diet should be low cal, low fat, and low carb. YOU NEED CARBS...dont get me wrong, im not saying u shouldnt eat them, because you need them, but most of us eat waaay too much anyways...so only eat a little bit, low cal, well u need 1200 calories a day to SURVIVE, or just to live, but some people eat only 1500 calories a day, and some eat 1300...just dont go over 1500 calories...eat anywhere from 1200-1500 calories..if u have ALOT of weight to lose u might wanna eat only 1200, but if ur young and only have to lose like 10 pounds or 5 pounds you can eat like 1300 or 1400 or 1500.
low fat, we need fats in our body, infact fats help people to lose weight. i read this on the internet...but we need GOOD fats...not too much. NO TRANS FAT...trans fat goes to no use in our body, cuz our body doesnt know what to do with it! so it just stores it...saturated fat is not HORRIBLE...but u dont want too much, we pretty much already get enough saturated fat without really paying attention to it, but we mostly overeat and get toon much...the kinda fats u want is monounsaturated fat, and polyunsaturated fats, those kinda fats can be found in fish, olive oil, nuts...stguff like that.but there aint a whole lot in them cuz u dont need a whole lot..only a bit. all the other fats like saturated fats, your body does use it, but it doesnt go to much use...so u really dont wanna get any foods with more than 5 grams of saturated fat...you dont want ANY foods with trans fat.

i hope that cleared things up.
