checking clothing size at store?

if you are at the store with somebody and ur buying pants or shorts for them and you dont know the size they wear how do you check it

i know im not an adult yet but my aunt always has me turn around and looks in from behind and its embarassing

how would you check or how do you?

Maybe you would want to figure that out with your mom or aunt before you get to the store. It maybe less embarassing
