Jesus is talking about the life received after this one. Therefore the 'not seeing life' part is talking about the second death. That's the wrath of God on them who don't believe. Those that believed are covered by the blood of the Lamb, like they who were covered in Egypt with the Passover. They escaped the Angel of Death ( God's Wrath) if they trusted God with that sacrificial lamb.
And so it was typified then became manifest through Jesus Christ.

Jesus said in John 3:14 As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up. Whosoever believeth in him (Moses) shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, for whosoever believeth in him (Jesus) shall not perish but have everlasting life.
The last verse in him, refers to all others (Mohammad, Gandhi, Smith) are not condemned if they believe in God the Father

The believer has everlasting life right now (not "may have" or even "will have"). On the other hand, the unbeliever in Christ (see notes on John 3:13-15 as to what one must believe), no matter how moral or religious he may be, faces God's wrath in hell because he has rejected (or neglected) His great gift of salvation, purchased at such great price--the sacrificial death of His beloved Son.

It's total nonsense. I don't need to go through anyone or anything to "get to" God. To do otherwise violates the commandment "You shall have no other gods before me". This means you don't put anything in front of God to go through to get to God, this is forbidden. Besides meaning that you certainly don't worship anything besides God. Both of these are idolatry. So is turning God into a man, then killing him as a pagan human virgin blood sacrifice for sin, then eating his blood and body, then worshipping him as God, all idolatry.
The idea that god came down and impregnated a virgin and produced a god-man is ridiculous, and it comes straight out of old ancient pagan mythology, not Judaism. If you think it comes from the Old Testament, you're reading a mistranslation, because it doesn't.

EDIT: Hey Debbie, how about YOU learn how Christianity completely threw away the entire concept that GOD gave on Mt. Sinai to the Jews about the Messiah and instead adopted ancient pagan mythology for him? Why don't YOU learn what the REAL prophecies say for the Messiah, the ones the Jews have been holding ever since that time - and you can look at the Dead Sea Scrolls and see that there are less than a dozen differences between the letters written in the Torah THEN and the Torah we Jews have NOW. Compare that to the 30 THOUSAND changes that the Christian church made to it when it slapped it on the back of its New Testament and called it the "Old Testament". You believe in ancient paganism, Debbie, not what God gave the Jews on Mt. Sinai for who and what the Messiah will be and do. Go and educate yourself.

I think it is talking about spiritual life. He that believes in Jesus Christ as their saviour has spiritual life. Those who deny Him are dead spiritually speaking and will receive the wrath of God.

Well, to put it bluntly: If you trust in Jesus as your Savior, you are going to have eternal life...if you don't and try to be your own God...as the atheist do,,,then they will go to Hell.
The thing that amazes me is, people who don't claim to be atheists but are unbelivers, don't realize they are in the same boat..an unbeliever is an unbeliever...
