It helps. It encourages people to continue to contribute. We should be open about what we like and don't like. Otherwise, nobody will know if their efforts are effective.

Absolutely! Who doesn't like to be acknowledged for their efforts? If you say something nice to someone else, they will be more likely to pass it on. Why not give someone a smile. If you ask me, nobody gets enough encouragement these days. I think we should all do more of it! Little things really mean a lot!

That depends on the situation. In many cases, yes, but if someone expects to be praised everyday for doing something that is their job, then I think its a selfish obsession.
For example, I go to work everyday to earn a living and to feed the family, I don't expect to be thanked and praised everyday for that , its simply my responsibility, what I should be doing. On the other hand, if someone goes above and beyond, or does something even though it wasn't their responsibility, then I think praise or at least gratitude is in order in every case.

Biblically we are told to edify one another.
So, yes, if another is working at obeying Gods word and glorifying God in their lives, then by all means, recognize that effort, lift them up, that they might be encouraged.
If all we ever did was let each other know what we were doing wrong biblically, what a dreary bunch we would be!!!!

Sure thing!!, and thanks for your contribution.
If we didnt have the contributions of different opinions, we simply wouldnt learn anything.
Knowlegde and wisdom should be "Attained" and "Shared" by "All".
Its a wonderful thing!!. Thanks
I wish you peace and love through your journey in life.

It is not really "important" per say. But it would be the nice thing to do.
