decrease sodium and sugar intake.....Eat a lot of low mercury fish (salmon, tilapia, cod, etc), a lot of veggies, and a lot of fruit...make sure you're also getting calcium in your diet as well as enough fiber....stay away from food with starches...lots and lots of water....
......in addition to walking...try a little bit of cardio...if you don't have the $$ to go out and buy workout videos...then try some jumping jacks...or jump rope....or just to the movements of jumping rope if you don't have it....cleaning house will burn calories...hmmmwell that's all I can think of....I am trying to lose about 50-60 pounds myself....so...ya....Also don't do really small portions unless you eat 5-6 times a day...try to get at least 1500 calories a day... I hope this works for you...good luck..!!!

you will not lose fat by starving yourself - that way the only thing you can lose is water weight and muscle and you will gain it all back.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Weightwatchers is amazing. I love the fact that it is flexible and you can still have your treats (mind you, it should only be when you're really craving but hey). I lost 29 lbs in 3 months. Another benefit is it's relatively cheap compared to most diets...75$ for 3 months! Good luck!

Eat more veggies, lean meat and complex carbs.

I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and brisk walking an hour 5 times a week. And I have lost 31lbs and now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.
