Look at your registry! lol You are fine. You won't know who got you what, you'll just see everything that you did get. I updated mine for a baby shower because I realized I had too many things on there like clothes that just didn't need to be on there because we needed other more important things. So I did see a few things people bought, and I was still shocked when opening my gifts because I had no idea what the person actually got me! So if you can handle knowing what you got, and still either act or be surprised when you open it all, then go for it! :) You'll also be able to see if there are things on there that you really really want that nobody has gotten for you- and maybe, like me, you can delete a few things.
Some ppl are last minute shoppers, so you will still have some time to do whatever!
Good luck, wish you the best!

Most brides do this and are kinda expected to, however it's not a totally accurate gauge of what you are going to get. Many people will get what you asked for elsewhere if they find it cheaper so it's not going to show up on the registry...that's why you need to update the registry as you get items. For instance, my friend wanted a Magic Bullet blender. It was $70 at Target. I am a good internet shopper and found it online for $40 and got it for her shower. It didn't show up on her registry that I had gotten the Bullet. She never updated that she had gotten one and ended up getting three more at the wedding.

Its actually a good idea to peak at it...
certain price ranges of gifts go a lot faster than others and you need to update and add things that are in the range where people seem to be buying the most of. That way your gracious guests have a good selection to choose from....
I know far to many times I wasn't looking to spend a fortune and had to go grab a gift right before the wedding and everything reasonably priced was gone....so I end up getting something they probably wouldn't want as much. You can always add things and take them back later to build up credit to get the big stuff that you may not get as much of....(I had enough stuff to take back to get my bedding that I wanted that was EXPENSIVE...so it worked out great!)

yeah u can see it. I did it all the time. It helped me removed similar items from other registries. You dont know whos giving what and if they bought it for the wedding or shower.

It doesn't seem like a big deal to me... I mean, after all, you chose all the items on the registry so nothing is going to be a huge surprise. Also, you'll get more gifts at the wedding.

I was horrible with mine and checked it online almost daily. Since you've waited this long and the shower is this weekend I say keep waiting so it's all a surprise!

You can probably log in online -- you can look if you want to. There's really not a right or wrong here; just make a decision -- do you want to know now? Do you want to be surprised by your guests' thoughfulness?

i think everyone cheats- bed bath and beyond kept sending me emails about items that were discontinued so i had to check mine and figure what i should add- it was just another excuse for me to look though- i cheated
plus you know when your shower is so its not like you are peeking to see if anyone was buying things to see if it was coming up- my SIL did that!
best wishes & congrats

Be a lady and wait for the moment of surprise when you sit down with your New Husband,if you look, then you take all that love for your friends and family, and it could cause unwanted feelings toward you .Remember you can pick your friends but you can't pick your family
