My guy friend and I have been dating for about 4 months now. Things were going great until a few weeks ago. He was acting really distant, so I gave him some space, and he later told me that he doesn't know what he wants. He says he wants to be close to one person, but at the same time, he also wants freedom to "float", as he put it. We are really close, and I really like him, and I think he wants to have a relationship with me beacause he's liked me since the beginning of the year, but he's kind of scared because his past girlfriends always leave him or break his heart. How can I show him he means a lot to me and that I'd like to have a relationship with him?

A nice simple serious talk while walking or hanging out at the beach or park works. Just make sure that you guys are comfortable..

if a relationship is that important to you, i would find someone else.

this guy is only good for casual dating, until he is ready for a girl to get close.
