Cheese Quesadillas

Lowfat shredded cheese
Whole Wheat soft flour tortilla shells
salsa
Fat free sour cream
I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray (O grams of fat!)

**Spray the pan with the butter spray. Put the shredded cheese between 2 tortilla shells. Brown in pan like a grilled cheese sandwich. Cut into 4 triangles. Serve with sour cream and dip it in salsa....Mmmmmm!

yeah man, im with you, about a month ago, i quit eating subway, thats not even that healthy at all, neither are salads, where is the protein in a salad. heres what i've been doing, along with bike riding, and i now weigh 130 and im like %15 fat.

for breakfat have some special K cereal, like the red berried, or chocolate delight, it's so good, and also so delicious. then around lunch make yourself a small tuna sandwich, chicken sandwich or tuna and crakcers, then for dinner have skinless chicken with some kind of spaghetti or pasta, or seafood, like shrimp or salmon.

its good food and you'll lose alot of weight, especially coming from subway.

Check out a book called "THE ABS DIET". It teaches you how to eat right and what to eat. They have a thing they call the "Power 12". Basically 12 esential foods you need to incorperate into just about everything you eat. By just following the diet for 2 weeks I lost around 10-15lbs. Can't miss the book it's got a bright orange cover.

Do you have a Panera Bread near you? They have some great sandwiches, pizzas, and soups that are healthy (and tasty!) for you. If not, try some Sushi. The fresh fish is a great source of protein and Omega 3 and the Wasabi sauce helps keep your digestive system burning on high. YUM!YUM!

Wow, people were good here, they gave amazing tips!
Now as far as i am concerned, here is my personal tip...
I actually eat fruit as my food/meals.!
for example, breakfast - frozen blue berries, strawberries and yogurt blend in a smoothie, wid couple slices of orange as your breakfast! where the smoothie willl fill ur stomach up, orange will give u ur vit. C for the morning boost!
after 2 hours, a plate of cantaloupe, watermelon and honeydew balls as a mid-morning snack!
then after two hours for lunch, a plate of apples, pineapples and papaya and the evening snack shud be, bananas and grapes, and for dinner sum salad wid protein, it can be fish, chicken breast, shrimp or sum tofu!
so u get all ur nutrient and ya'll loose weigt too!
now here is the trick, u shud always have 3 different fruits in ur plate, like for morning blue berries, and strawberries and oranges...so make sure u have 3 fruits in ur plate!
this will keep u fuller and give u a lotta fiber and vitamins!
APPLES are the best source of fiber!!
so snack a lot on apples...(thats wat i do)

GUD LUCK and if u want more answers, u can mail me!

You need to get the glycemic index chart for diabetics.
This will show you the good choices to prefer.
Less carbohydrates & fats, more fruit & fibre.
Less red meat, more chicken & fish, & veg protein.

Healthier food may differ from person to person. If you are very thin and want to put on some weight, healthier food for you would mean some thing other than that of the healthier food for a person who wants to loose weight and don't want to be remain starved for longer periods. However, there are some general ideas for those who want to eat healthier food. Some of them are:
1-Try to have a balanced diet. For this it is necessary to understand first that what is a balanced diet and what is calorie value of different food items. It will help you decide how much calorie you need and from what type of food mixture of your choice you can have it. Also it will help you to know which mineral/minerals, salts, vitamins and other necessary things for your body you can have and by taking how much quantity of each type of food you should take.
2-Try to increase your daily water intake. Start drinking water regularly from early morning with empty stomach and thereafter keep taking water at regular intervals throughout the day. You can understand importance of this simple trick only when you will try this at least for some days.
3-Try to keep away fast foods which are considered to be very dangerous for digestive system of human body and are often not as much nutrient as the healthy food should be.
4-Try to keep away from the cookies/bread and other food items made from fine floor. It will keep your digestive system, particularly your small intestine (which is nearly six times of your height, and all the important elements of the food taken by us are absorbed in this area into our body system and transported/distributed in our body by the blood circulation system) clean and efficient.
5-Try to increase intake of food items having natural fiber.
6-Always keep watch on your weight and energy levels and plan healthy food for you accordingly.
7-Keep reading articles related to food and health in books, magazines, internet, and think at least a little on what the experts of this field say, or other successful and healthy persons want to tell the readers/listeners about their eating habits.
8-Try to know as much as possible about the proven good foods for human beings like honey, curd, uncooked food items and seasonal fruits/vegetables etc. and try to be benefited from these things as per your need and choice. And also try to know about/ keep watch on cooking methods of different foods which are considered to be of good nutrient value but due to faulty or improper ways/methods of cooking they loose or lessen their nutritional value.
9-Last, but not least, only your awareness regarding merits/ qualities and nutrient values of different food items and your body needs will help you in best manner to plan good food for you. So keep abreast of latest developments in this field and be your own judge.
