Mine represents the belief that we should dress modestly in public. Be covered and not show off legs and whatnot. NO, I'm not religious, just into modesty.
I chose the background because it's peaceful and I love botanical gardens, zoos, parks, all that.
The avatar also symbolizes a character in a story I've written. I hope to be gentle and good as she is, no matter how confusing some things are in life....
Yahoo has nothing that resembles me and I don't prefer to put up my real pic anymore.

The word purposeless entails divergence, while the word purposeful entails convergence, as in a constructive sequence of "if-then" statements in a deductive sequence.
Consciousness cannot arise from materialistic interactions but rather the material manifestations are the perceptions OF consciousness.
Perception operates in accordance with the laws of causality, where the results of intentionality become causality. In other words, causality cannot be a statistical fluke that keeps maintaining order and regularity in defiance of the concept of randomness, because the very idea of randomness entails divergence with no real "purpose".
That is to say, the succession of causal events exist as an ordered framework consisting of past/ancestral events, which appear to constrain[as determined by natural laws] all future/descendant events.
Time is also necessarily defined as an ordered relation, entailing convergence. Consciousness entails intentionality and intentionality entails causality.
The material universe is necessarily a consequence of consciousness.

My avatar represents how little i know or take interest in computer stuff. Apparently, in order to get a real avatar i needed to deal with something called yahoo 360, and that is unacceptable for me!
Also it resembles me, and I'm good looking (just kidding)

but my wings represent the mystical .... things unseens ... although not necesarily fairies of course
and my rainbow at the back is for healing
all the colours we need
so it is quite appropriate for me and my beliefs

I chose my picture over the cartoon avatar because my picture is the real me. And if I am going to give honest, from the heart answers, I want to be the real me.

It doesn't.
I like the Flintstones and always thought Gazoo was funny. Plus people have to think to figure out where it came from. They always recognize it, but can't place it. I get at least one email a month asking.
