Well, the sad truth is that everyone will die, sooner or later. The important thing is that you love them, and let them know you love them, and make good memories now.
It's harder now that your mom and you live apart. Try to write letters, send e-mail or call at least once a week, and let her know what's going on in your life. Send pictures, if you can.
Only time can help with missing your mom -- and getting together with her, of course. Have fun with all your family members now, when you can. This will make good memories for when you are alone.

Wow this is a special situation. My mom died 4 months ago. We had a tight special bond. She was my rock and everything. I came home from work one night just 20 minutes after I called her to tell her I was on my way home and I found her dead on the bathroom floor. My life has changed so much that now I am taking care of my elderly dad and my 4 yr old daughter. Life isn't easy sweetheart and you've only seen 13 yrs of it. Live life to the fullest everyday. Call your mom and have lots of conversations with her and make sure that you always tell her you LOVE HER everyday too. Thats important and mean it even though I know you do already. Death pops up in all of our minds; for some everyday and others they don't think about it. We don't know when our times is up but while we are still living and breathing we need to enjoy it. Don't let anything get to you. When you are having bad thoughts or just not feeling right thats when you really need to pray and ask God to take these feelings away from you. Being 13 and your a male you are going through alot and changing everyday. This is natural sweetie. Everything will be fine. Enjoy your summer. Continue to be a young man and just live on. By the way I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. Good luck baby!!

Quit imagining the worst. I use to be afraid my parents would die so I just pretended that they could never die and it kept me happy.
My Dad died when I was 19. I miss him a lot. Not as much as I use to but if I go to his grave I still break down and cry. Why would I waste the few precious years I had with him fearing his death? I didn't. Enjoy today, every one is anxious when they are growing up because you don't understand everything that is going on to turn you into an adult.
Why be sad while they are still here? Tomorrow has enough grief to be sad. Try to enjoy life now and let tomorrow take care of itself.
I'm sure you do miss your Mom nothing wrong with that. Give her a call.

You shouldn't worry, you have to live your life without thinking of the bad things that could happen, I am 13 too, and I live 33,000 miles away from my dad, I see him 3 months a year, and the worst thing is, he's a cop. Anything could happen.

When I think about people dying i think its because you love them so much and you don't wanna let go. I mean I get these feelings too, but you can't just let it walk over you, think of something other than your mom. But I know it can be hard to not think of her and plus you miss her alot. So I hope it'll work out.
