Cats never bite as a defense, but only during play (especially kittens). you are probably playing to rough with him, as other kittens normally do, but this roughness encourages them to "attack" back. When he next bites you, give him a sharp NO! and turn you attention away from him. He wants to play wiht you, and after a while will learn that biting = no play. He will eventually stop.

It usually depends if you're playing with your cat with your fingers or if your cat suddenly bites you as you are petting them. You should try spraying them with a small spray bottle or a spray bottle with a short stream. What your cat is doing is "play biting" cats usually bite when they play with one another and since its natural for them to bite when playing if your cat starts playing with your hand spray them with a spray bottle somewhere on their head or if they bite too hard stop all play or petting get up and walk away this hopefully will teach the cat to stop biting or at least bite a bit more gently.
Hope this helps!

It's a natural phase in his development. He'll settle down a lot in a couple of months. If you haven't had him neutered yet, do so.

Give him lots of toys and play with him, but don't let him attack your hands. You may have to wear long-sleeve shirts and gloves when you play with him.

It's only temporary. He doesn't mean to be bad and he doesn't know he's hurting you. It's instinct making him stalk and pounce on everything, as if he was in the wild having to kill his prey in order to survive.

Whenever the cat bites, stop whatever you're doing and walk away. He will eventually understand that this is not acceptable behavior. Whatever you do, don't react in anger - it intimidates the cat and can cause him to respond with more aggression.

Easy. Buy a small water pistol, not a blaster. Give the little bugger a squirt every time he nips you. He'll learn in about 30 secs and then you can dispense with the pistol. You may need to reenforce it a second day, but it never takes more than 2 days.

Hes a kitten, and they nip at things. But if its a bite then you should go with the water suqirter idea.

Stop putting your fingers near his mouth. Seriously. Just pay more attention to how your petting him. When he starts to bite, put him down for at least 10 minutes. He'll get the message eventually.
