There is a push by the left in congress to pull out of Iraq before we have finished the job. Do you believe that would just encourage our enemy to attack us at home?

Yes, the enemy will continue to press their attack, particularly if they see us retreat from the battlefield they are losing.

They have taken the page of victory from Ho Chi Minh and realize that the American media and certain politicians are their only hope, but working hard for them.

If you want to understand the enemy we face, the soldiers and marines we have and the nature of the battles we fight, read my blog. If you are not sure of the beliefs you hold in regards or prefer to keep believing the media, you may want to stay away from it.

No politics. Only the groundtruth, independently researched, as reported by a combat veteran that has been to both battlefields of this war.

the 1st concern we could continuously talk approximately is that " Why is there violence in iraq?" the respond definetly may be "by using fact of yankee infantrymen" yet wait, wait.. enable me inform you why!. the persons of Iraq are combating none different however the yank infantrymen, there is no one in Iraq different than the yank infantrymen against which the persons might combat. If the yank troops depart iraq all issues qould get high quality, the Iraqi's might locate no one to combat against, the iraqi police and armed forces is appropriate however the iraqi's, a democratic government might definetly come into formation ( which may be a hard job and it would desire to take time). the only problem is the shia suni ( 2 sects of muslims in iraq) quarells yet those quarells will come into an end (because it particularly is estimated by way of specialists) after the fpormation of a basically democratic iraqi state. the iraqi human beings do no longer and could in no way settle for the yank military. the only objective of the yank military grow to be to demolish the saddam rule which has be completed so there is no want for the yank military to declare to any extent further in iraq, it quite is for the betterment of the two the yank infantrymen and the iraqi's. i think of I even have replied it wisely. thank you!

come on you know better! ok this is a country ruled by religion. that is a war you can't win. religion is too strong. we should be looking for bin laden and OUT! those american boys are not prepared for this. the problem is that the war is being run by a bunch of idiots sitting in high places in D.C. instead of the army generals who know what is going on. The war started because of the terror threats. i agreed with bush but now what? i don't even know what the war is about anymore. let's get real! the war will not stop if we DO pull out or NOT. the terrorists with faith will always hate us. they are brainwashed it's like hitler. they are taught to hate us from when they are little. they are taught that america is the enemy adn no one questions anyone. it is all about religion my friend. that's why this is a war we cannot win. possibly if we wiped out iraq and iran but that would be morally wrong and cause war from the rest of the world. Big dilemma. that's my opinion so what is left to do? get gas from canada and alaska pull out of iraq and make security better in america. Still you have to believe that what we hear on the news might not be the real story. no one will tell you what the entire fact is about the war truthfully.

It comes home not because of the troop withdrawal but because of the stupid foreign policy Bush administration has been conducting.

It may not come from Iraq or Al Quaeda, as Bush has made so many enemies around the world, even within his own country.

American people will be paying the price for electing such a president...... twice.

After Somalia, the Black Hawk Down incident, the enemy declared it a victory. They lost nearly 3,000 people to our 14. Hell it's a national holiday there. We know AlQueda is in Iraq. Osama Bin Laden has said Iraq is the battle front of this war, the war between Al Queda and America. If we leave without destroying the enemy what does that look like to them? It looks like they defeated us. It look like victory for the enemy. The same enemy that killed 3,000 people on 9'11.

Absolutely. They will try anyways. Osama bin Laden has said that one of his inspirations for attacking the US came from Somalia when we pulled out after losing a couple soldiers. He called us a paper tiger. Many times I think he's right, and if we pull out of Iraq too early we will have proven it.

P.S. michelle p - you make some very good points even though I don't completely agree with you. Thanks for your insight.

Unfortunately the war has already hit home. First 9/11 [NYC] then 7/7 here in UK.

They started it and we are gonna win it.

Say no more.

Not if we kill all of the terrorists there, and make it clear if they bring it here, the countries that spawned them will soon glow in the dark ! Of course, that would mean Congress would actually have to stand up and do the right thing.

no, of coarse not... because if they attack, we will re deploy with only one thing in mind... destroy, the rules of conduct will be out the drain... plus if we widthdrawl out of iraq we can spen the money we would be spending on iraq to rebuild our national security and build the wall on the mexican border... so no, it would be highly unlikely that they would follow us home... that is just a scare tactic bush uses to keep us scared enough to keep giving our tax dollars to funding the war

NO !our job, done or not, is finished .
did what we could .
now we are being killed .
what more is there to do .I'm sure they prefer to on they're own.if they cannot see peace as a resolution we should not stand between the two. ,three, or how many.
staying on gaurd would be high priority.
but why stand between two dogs fighting and try to stop them? you will get hurt !!!
once they're exausted .eh .
who knows any more.no one that can do some thing ,that. that's for certain.
