am I right about the fact that psychics are full of it? they are looking for attention and announce they have this "gift" like they are more specail than the rest of us. yes some do have a gift, but NOT from God. Satan has found a way to hold them to him, and keeps it that way. gee, if you were given this gift would you tell him to take it back? I have asked many psychics to tell me something, not one of them ever could. they are ful of it, so you people looking for one dont wast your time, and if I am wrong, show me I am wrong. am I wrong?

Remember that Pharaoh's magicians were able to duplicate
several of the miracles that Moses performed.

In addition, it was King Saul that sought a medium to conjour the spirit of Samuel, the dead prophet. Saul was not hearing from God and wanted to seek advise from Samuel.

1Sa 28:5 When Saul saw the camp of the Philistines, he was afraid and his heart trembled greatly.

1Sa 28:6 When Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by prophets.

1Sa 28:7 Then Saul said to his servants, "Seek for me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her." And his servants said to him, "Behold, there is a woman who is a medium at En-dor."

1Sa 28:8 Then Saul disguised himself by putting on other clothes, and went, he and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night; and he said, "Conjure up for me, please, and bring up for me whom I shall name to you."

1Sa 28:9 But the woman said to him, "Behold, you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off those who are mediums and spiritists from the land. Why are you then laying a snare for my life to bring about my death?"

1Sa 28:10 Saul vowed to her by the LORD, saying, "As the LORD lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing."

1Sa 28:11 Then the woman said, "Whom shall I bring up for you?" And he said, "Bring up Samuel for me."

1Sa 28:12 When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice; and the woman spoke to Saul, saying, "Why have you deceived me? For you are Saul."

1Sa 28:13 The king said to her, "Do not be afraid; but what do you see?" And the woman said to Saul, "I see a divine being coming up out of the earth."

1Sa 28:14 He said to her, "What is his form?" And she said, "An old man is coming up, and he is wrapped with a robe." And Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground and did homage.

1Sa 28:15 Then Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?" And Saul answered, "I am greatly distressed; for the Philistines are waging war against me, and God has departed from me and no longer answers me, either through prophets or by dreams; therefore I have called you, that you may make known to me what I should do."

1Sa 28:16 Samuel said, "Why then do you ask me, since the LORD has departed from you and has become your adversary?

1Sa 28:17 "The LORD has done accordingly as He spoke through me; for the LORD has torn the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor, to David.

1Sa 28:18 "As you did not obey the LORD and did not execute His fierce wrath on Amalek, so the LORD has done this thing to you this day.

1Sa 28:19 "Moreover the LORD will also give over Israel along with you into the hands of the Philistines, therefore tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. Indeed the LORD will give over the army of Israel into the hands of the Philistines!"

1Sa 28:20 Then Saul immediately fell full length upon the ground and was very afraid because of the words of Samuel; also there was no strength in him, for he had eaten no food all day and all night.

1Sa 28:21 The woman came to Saul and saw that he was terrified, and said to him, "Behold, your maidservant has obeyed you, and I have taken my life in my hand and have listened to your words which you spoke to me.

Yes, you're wrong, but not in all the ways you think.
Where you're "wrong" is in being judgemental about something you have no actual experience with. That includes judging your religion as accurate without any research except for hanging on to other people's misinformation and opinions.
You said: "they are looking for attention and announce they have this "gift" like they are more specail than the rest of us."
To me, that sounds just like most of the Protestant evangelists and preachers I've known (and I'm a PK myself).
You also said: "yes some do have a gift, but NOT from God."
So you're wrong there, because some psychic abilities are a gift from God, and these are actually described in the Bible, if you think that is a valid source for anything.
And, lastly, some psychics aren't prideful and "full of it", just like some, I suppose, preachers, aren't, either. So you're generalizing inappropriately and judgementally and that's also "wrong".
There are "good" and "bad" psychics, preachers, healers, doctors, teachers (obviously, since yours weren't that great in the language arts field) and other valuable professions.
I suggest you do some research on your question at the local library.

Yes your wrong. Why isn't a Psychics "gift" ever looked at as being a gift from God? As long as they are doing work in God's name. Who are you to say they are not working for God. It's not satans to give back.
Yes, there are psychics that would rip you off. No different than any thing else to be aware and do your research on.

You're wrong. Very much so. A lot of people boast about their gifts; artists, musicians, ect. They are really proud of it, and they show it. I'm sure that there are a lot more psychics who tend to keep it quiet because those who DO boast make it seem like ALL psychics are like that. Their not. Your'e wrong.

If you ask me, you're full of it..."Satan has found a way to hold them to him...". Yes, you are wrong and a waste of time. I'm not being critical, but this is just the stupedist post...

I knew coming from you this would have satan in it somewhere. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

Excuse me, doesn't even your fictional bible say that some will receive the gift of prophecy?

You call gibberish "tongues" but you close your mind to communicating with the dead.

there is no conclusive evidence of any 'psychic gifts' whatsoever. some people have better intuition or are more adept at charming and impressing people, that's all. i think you're right but for all the wrong reasons.

Revelation 2 (King James Version)

7He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

11He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

17He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

29He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelation 3 (King James Version)

6He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

13He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
*******
Geez; either GOD was *stupid* because 99.8% of humans are born WITH ears; or He was talking about those who have an *ear* TO HEAR THE SPIRIT.

That is people who can HEAR THE SPIRIT; i.e. Clairaudients aka "psychic hearing".

you need to ask yourself about the comfort that belief in something brings to the holder of the belief

It's got nothing to do with religion. Psychics are people who take advantage of those who are hurting by making educated, common-sense guesses. For instance: I sense that you often use a computer. I'm psychic!!!!!
