Technological progress is the ability to say, we can do it...
Moral Awareness is asking, should we do it...
Progress in science is a two edged sword, better knowledge of biology has created new cures, and also created new diseases in the lab....
Moral Awareness or, a better way of saying it that won't twitter up so many Atheists, is, Ethical Awareness is more vital to our survival. Technological Progress, without any empathy, or humanity behind it, will just lead to a future nightmare, not a Utopia.
That is the difference between "Brave New World" and "Star Trek".

Moral awareness. Imagine if business and technology were based on moral awareness...the end product would be something you can trust. If moral awareness were a part of technology then the products would be substantially more progressive.

I choose Moral awareness because if you take technological progress above all else then you will put in to the same basket as other tyrants and awful people who have tried for their own agendas to "make the world a better place".

But it HAS to be both.
When humanity is overly in tune with their "Moral Awareness" we start burning our neighbors at the stake because we become so ignorant of the universe around us.
When we have "Technological Progression" without morality we create bombs that will simply kill the world.
These two things are intrinsically intertwined, therefore your "Simple" choice is no choice at all.
Its like good and evil neither side can properly exist without the other.

I think moral awareness is most important. If we don't get a grip on our morals and start behaving right all the technology in the world can save us.

Well, if you think about it, mankind has already been around several thousand years without the technology we have today. While I believe that technological progress is important, I think that moral awareness should come first.

It depends on what you mean by "moral awareness". If you mean morality as dictated by religion I say technological progress. However, if by moral awareness you mean granting human rights and equality to all people (showing compassion for all humanity) then I'd say moral awareness is more important.

I would have to say moral awareness. Without it there would be complete chaos, and a breakdown of all rules and standards. We can live without new technology, but not without a human code of conduct.

Moral awareness. Otherwise we will use technology for destructive purposes.
