Well I just found out yesterday my grandparents are coming to stay with me for three weeks.. and as much as I will enjoy seeing them as it's been a while, I'm scared that all my hard work in eating healthy is going to be reversed.. you see I have just gotten over my platue and started to lose weight again.. I have changed my eating habits dramatically over the past 6 months and have just got this routine down pat.. Now with thr GP's staying I dont know what to do.. Nanna loves to bake.. and cook lots of high fat creamy, sugary & buttery meals. (it taste's great but isn't healthy for anyone).. and last time I saw her and told her I was trying to loose weight she just looked at my funny, and told me I was a silly girl and too skinny (she thinks everyone unless they are 20kilo's / 40lbs overweight are skinny)... what can i do as they will be staying at my house and I know my Nanna will be cooking allday when I am at work and will be really offended If I do not eat her food!!!

I know that if I suggest I cook my own dinners she will think I am being rude.. I dont mind indulging in her food for a few days, but 3 weeks is going to shatter everything I have already accomplished!!

OK, by "my house" do you mean *your* house, or yours and your parents' house? If it's your house, hide the pots and pans, and switch out all the plates for little luncheon plates and little bowls. You might be able to indulge in all of Nanna's great cooking, as long as you can control yourself and eat just a little bit.

Visit a doctor, if you can, and have him "tell" you that you can't eat cream, sugar and butter. Nannas often listen to doctor's orders, and this way, you can say, "Nanna, I'd love to eat this, but my doctor said I can't have it!" Then it's the mean ol' doctor's fault.

Arrange sightseeing stuff for them so they aren't bored at home all day cooking.

Arrange extra exercise for yourself, to make up for the extra calories. Maybe it's something you can do with your grandparents -- I'm sure their doctors are nagging them to do more exercise, too. Gentle walks in a flower garden or something like this.

Cook for Nanna on the weekends. Choose your best diet food, and tell her you want to treat her for a change.

Just remember, if you fall off the diet wagon, you can always get back on. Good luck!
