Oh my, this presents a conundrum which can easily be explained by any one of the fine Christians on this forum. My head just exploded

No. "But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep". 1 Corinthians 15:20. This means He was the first flesh and blood man to go to Heaven with His Father. The immortal soul is a lie first perpetrated by Satan in the Garden. Then later by the Catholic church. Many Protestants followed suit. Do not be deceived. Keep it in context.
God bless

previously Jesus got here in the flesh, we are informed that sinners who repented have been saved by religion in the bogus slayed animal sacrifices defined by God. and prefer those of right this moment, they had to end sinning (that's what repenting ability). the actual atonement, even although, occurred with suited timing while Jesus grew to alter into the suited sacrifice those animals prefigured. So previously Jesus got here, the individuals appeared forward to the pass on an identical time as those after, look lower back to the atonement on the pass. consequently, in a manner, you're staggering: that's an identical for people who repent of their sins. for people who do not, there is not any sacrifice or heaven. It incredibly would not have mattered while God could have selected to deliver Jesus to earth yet being gracious as he's, He gave mankind all the prophecies mandatory to help guy know the real Messiah and tutor, as quickly as lower back, that God keeps His supplies related to salvation and judgments. He could not have made those any clearer.

Let's see, Elisha went to Heaven in a chariot and never died supposedly, and Enoch also went to Heaven without dying, according to the Bible.
So that pretty much blows away John 3:13.
To finish, there was zero point to Jesus dying. There were at least 2 people in Heaven before he died. Also, there was the transfiguration in Matthew 17 where Elijah and Moses appeared, and Peter asked Jesus if they should worship them (God alone is supposed to be worshipped). More Christian convolutions.
The Bible is a crock of sewage.

A resting place, all people go to a resting place until judgement day. People had to have faith to get to Heaven before Jesus... (Hebrews 11)
Jesus told a story about a resting place... in the story of the rich and poor man who would not feed the poor man...

No one with sin can stand in God's presence , which means one cannot enter heaven because it is nothing but God's presence. Prior to the Lord's death, there was no atonement for sin, therefore no one would have been able to enter into heaven.
edit: read story Jesus told of the rich man and Lazuras. Aparently, everyone prior to Jesus' crucifixion went to hades, there was a 'good' side and a 'bad' side

Requirements have not changed.
From the time of creation God promised to send a Messiah to redeem mankind after the fall from Grace.
Those who believed in this promise, and loved God received a Heavenly reward when they died. They were Christian even before his birth. That is exactly what most Churches teach to this day.

But of course jesus, because he was resurected, never died, otherwise he would be a Zombie.
so:
Since there was no death then there must be no sins paid for yet and all the sins are just on loan. I would like to return my sins into the store now seeing as they were defective and are still on warranty.
No paid for sins and no heaven for you.

NO. When Jesus died, He went into hell to get the ones that died before Him.
Please do forgive me, I dont remember the name of the angel that was in hell when Jesus got there, but Jesus thanked this angel for letting Him get those that belong to God out of hell. The angel that was there in hell when Jesus got there was a evil angel.

Jesus death of Crucifixion was to give people on earth a chance at salvation and redemption to the afterlife for our souls. The answer to your first question is yes, but remember sin has been around as long as Adam and Eve, but second chances wasn't until after the Crucifixion.

Salvation has always been about faith and obedience in God. Take for example Abraham. Abraham was saved because he had faith in God and he obeyed God. Take Noah for example, same thing: faith and obedience. Take rabbi Paul: faithful and obedient. Take John the Baptist: faithful and obedient. King David: faithful and obedient. However, God administers different dispensations at different times, to test our faith and obedience. We happen to be in the dispensation that says we must have faith in Jesus and obey His commandments to love one another and to love our God. It's still about faith and obedience, however. There are NO additional requirements.
Research Dispensation Theology. A good website is below
