Since you have a tendency to worship Joseph Smith more than you do Jesus?

Technically, no - after 1844 there were several splits with leadership, and the more familiar Brighamites moved westward in to the Land of the Lamanites and utlimatley Ute-ites. Here they split again in 1890 between the Woodruffites and Jeffites, and after 1978, they became mostly Kimballites with the Keepitwhiteites sort of becoming unfashionably and politically 'out'.

Today we proudly point to the Hinckleyites for removing icky parts of the temple ceremony and not knowing what the hell we believe anymore.

We worship Jesus Christ.

Joseph Smith was the first prophet and the founder of the church. Nothing more, nothing less.

We don't worship Smith more than Christ. This simply isn't true and it is definitely disappointing to see that so many people think that we do worship Smith over Christ...I am a lifelong member of the Church. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, and I ALWAYS have. The notion that Joseph Smith is held in a higher regard than Jesus Christ is extremely preposterous.

If we worshipped Smith more than Christ, we would be the Church of Joseph Smith of Latter-day Saints.

I am not sure why you think we worship Joseph Smith...we love him and know that he was a most important part of restoring the gospel to the earth, through the power of God, but we do not nor have ever claimed to worship him.
We worship God, the Father, through His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
I am a Christian only if defined as a person who worships, loves and accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, who worships Almighty God, whom is our Heavenly Father and who believes that it is through works and faith that we can obtain eternal exaltation. By any other definition, I would not consider myself a Christian.

we don't call our faith "the certainty", we call what we are discovering the certainty by using fact we have confidence that what we are being taught from the Bible is certainty. each and every physique believes, till they're confident in any different case, that what they have confidence is genuine. in the different case why might they have confidence in it? i would not shop on with a faith that i think lied to me. Our faith is versatile. a lot of human beings factor out the certainty that our faith at one factor believed some thing that we no longer have confidence in. it particularly is genuine, at one factor, we've been human beings who smoke. At one factor, we used the bypass. however the Bible speaks of God making "the sunshine brighter". That easy is "the certainty" approximately what he needs us to do, and he famous that certainty whilst the nicely suited time comes. There are different religions that, as they learn, in no way make the effort to verify that what they're doing is according to the Bible. it particularly is the mark of a genuine faith - a faith that grows and improves itself.

Smithians. What. I've never heard that before. We worship God and Jesus Christ. You could get kicked out of the Church for worshiping Joseph Smith. Our church is the church of JESUS CHRIST of latter day saints, not The church of JOSEPH SMITH of latter day saints. I dont know what your talking about and i've been a mormon my entire life.

We don't worship Joseph Smith. He is not our Saviour and our Lord.

We are SAINTS. That's what the early believers in Christ called themselves.

oh -- you know that is a lie and you just want to get a rise out of us.

For shame -- but apparently it worked on me

Jesus Christ is our savior

Joseph Smith is a prophet -- no worshiping of Joseph Smith -- that is false doctrine
