is it bad that my dog is always panting? i live in california and its not super hot, i mean its not like las vegas, nv. how can i get my dog to drink water? she is usually inside (in my apartment) and she ALWAYS pants. how can i get her to drink water? Im really concerned about her..help

my dog, isnt over weight and she is only 2. she always go to the vet at least once a month. they say she is fine. she is a mixed breed. could it be genetics?

dogs pant because they cant sweat, this is how they cool off. If ur dog wont drink water take her to the vet. Some dogs like to drink running water, try a filtered water bowl or letting her drink from the tap in the tub.

OK first off, dogs pant usually because they are hot, although she might be having a problem breathing through her nose. You should take her to your vet and have her nose and sinuses checked just in case of obstruction. The vet can tell you more about why she is doing this also.

My dogs pant when they are excited, or after exercise, after playing hard, etc.
Dog's pant. Don't worry about it. Leave a big bowl of water out for her to drink whenever she is thirsty.

How old is she? Is she overweight? Has she been seen by a vet regularly? Certain metabolic diseases, such as thyroid disease and Cushings can cause excessive panting. She needs a check up!

ok i had 5 shitzues and tey never drink water you know why because they where feed to much and when they pant it means their just tierd from running running and playing

put it in frount of her and panting alot is normal she must just be a little hot put on the ac or somthin

the same prob is with mine, she is also mixbreed vet says its nothing to worry..........she is okyy..........
