Salaam Alaikum Sister,

I too wondered the same thing when I first came to Y!A.
ommotherlifeforce told me of a lady named Heron that made avatars with Hijab, that is where I got mine. You can find them here:

http://happyshela.com/avatars/

It is a wonderful site, may Allah (swt) shower her with blessings for her hard work.

Wa Salaam, Nahita

Hijab means veil or curtain. In the holy Qur'an Surah (subtitle) 7 Al Araaf verse 25,Surah 24 An Nuur verse 31 and Surah 33 Al Ahzab verse 59 God instbructed all muslimahs (muslim women) to cover all their bodies except their faces and their palms. All parts of muslimah body are privy including her hairs, except both parts said above. But many muslimahs considered that their face can only be looked by their husbands and children so they wore hijab or veil if they were going out...You can get hijab in the muslim clothes shops near your home. You can also make it yourself..Salam for you
